3 Reasons I Like Gaddafi’s Latest Rant

“Even the Israelis in Gaza, when they moved into the Gaza strip, they moved in with tanks to fight such extremists. It’s the same thing here! We have small armed groups who are fighting us. We did not use force from the outset . . . Armed units of the Libyan army have had to fight small armed al Qaeda bands. That is what’s happened.”
Here are 3 reasons to like Gaddafi’s rant.
- Gaddafi acknowledges that Israel has a right to defend itself against Palestinian terror.
- Gaddafi labels Hamas a terror organization. Full stop.
- Gaddafi undermines the Goldstone report. After all, Libya was the key country trying to ram the Goldstone report through the UN.
I’d like to think Gaddafi read HonestReporting’s Gaza War Summary and Goldstone Report Summary.
More likely, he’s simply nuts.

Quote only shows that Gaddafi primarily respects power and military force. This is not news.

All Arabs primarily respect power and force, and look at withdrawals for peace )as Israel > Gaza and from Lebanon as weakness. This seems obvious to everyone except Pres. Obama.

Am I the first to think “there be method to [Gaddafi's] madness?” He may speak in non-sequiturs and with typical Arab inconsistency and transparent misdirection, but to lump him in with insane asylum inmates while he does a better job of hanging onto power for power’s sake than any other Middle East tyrant is utterly naive.

Gaddafi compares himself to Israel in an attempt to justify his actions and put them in a good light and also to imply that he is responding with reasonable force. This is actually a compliment to Israel’ although he might be mad, he is still clever enough to portray himself as a victim just as Israel is a victim of aggression.
