In the words of the little Jewish boy visiting Israel in the 50′s who on being told of the British military preventing Jewish refugees from landing from tiny ships on mandated Palestine’s shores after WWII,
“Dad,how could we British do this to us Jews?”
The BBC is doing a great job of encouraging Aliya to Israel.

The UK has become so biased against Jews, as a whole. This is supported in their reporting. Antisemitic name calling, disrespect to those wearing skull caps, etc. is quite common. Orthodox boys in college have taken to wearing baseball hats to protect themselves against attacks, both verbal and physical. The UK is no friend of Jews and I gather reports of such have been made by various groups…so far to no avail.

The Toronto Star is no slouch at this game. In a recent edition, the cut line under a picture showing a dead body lying at a Gaza/Israeli crossing said words to the effect of, “For Palestinians, crossing at Israeli check points can be deadly…” So far it isn’t looking good for the Israelis, is it? Then the next sentence continues the story: “…This man was killed by Israeli soldiers when he attempte to throw grenades at them.”
I don’t know whether to be furious at the deception or laugh hysterically at the comedy.

The BBC consists of tens of thousands of employees, some of them journalists, many of them Jewish. But whoever is responsible for managing the reponses to the website, and who therefore allowed the antisemitic diatribe to remain visible for as long as it did, should be named and shamed. Why don’t the Jewish journalists, including presenters, actually do something about this, even surreptitiously, so as not to endanger their jobs.It should also be noted that the BBC bias has affected all other news channels in the UK. Jon Snow, who has a lot of influence on Channel 4, is another Jew-hater and the tone of Channel 4 news is even more hateful than the BBC. When reporting on the meeting of the four Middle East negotiators the newsreader said “They are discussing the sufferings of the Palestinian people who suffered both from the Occupation and from the Hamas fighting”. Who said they suffered under the ‘occupation’? At the height of the prosperity, Palestinians enjoyed the greatest measure of freedom and prosperity they had ever experienced, which is exactly why Arafat and his cronies were determined to launch the first Intifada and the Palestinians will never be as prosperous again.

BBC is nowadays a branch of Muslim propaganda. As we all know there are daily attacks on Jews in GB: Their broadcasting is like Nazi broadcasting during the WWII. I refuse to pay for BBC channel and I hope many eople and countries will do the same. It is the only way to protest. Boycott their broadcasting

I have regularly contacted the bbc and other media outlets regarding the bias and mis representation. Also the reporters themselves deliver the news in a way that promotes their own view rather than just reporting the news. It has had no effect whatsoever and the responses if I get one are denial of the bias. Things will not change unless we complain on mass. I would like to see the Jewish populations be as vocal in their concerns as the muslim communities are.

A few months ago Al Jazeera began broadcasting in English. A non-scientific impressionistic comparison of Al Jazeera to the BBC led me to conclude that the Arab station gave a much more in depth and accurate view of Israel (and the Arabs) than did the British station.
It seemed to me that the inaccuracies, distortions and absence of coverage that typified the BBC in comparison to Al Jazeera, was a function of an apparant desire to be politically correct as well as a willingness to sacrifice accuracy for “balance”.
As stated, the above comes from impressions gained while watching the news coverage of both stations. Perhaps a systematic scientific study comparing the two might be of some interest.

We in the UK have known for years about al-beeb’s bias. But let’s be honest. In an ideal world, if all the media were honest and objective would that change the situation of hatred toward Israel and the Jewish People? Answers please in one word!

This is a careful and convincing indictment of the BBC’s notoriously anti-Israel slant. I hope you do the same with respect to the New York Times and NPR. Thanks for your great work

There is yet another subtle form of “even-handed” reporting that is practiced very often here in Switzerland. First you interview the Palestinian, and then for “balance” you interview some left wing Israeli professor or politician who basically re-inforces the same side of the story. Or you can do the reverse – first you interview a calm and thoughtful sounding Palestinian, and then you interview some off the wall right wing demagogue from Israel who can’t say two words straight. The effect is the same.

Maybe it’s time to destroy the Palestinian state and the BBC too. England has always been antisemitic. My deceased mother remembered it before WW1.

What ever happened to getting the whole story and having documented facts from their sources? Do the news media that are totally against Israel realize they are touching the apple of G-d’s eye? HE blesses those that bless her,and curse those who curse her? Whose side do you want to be on BBC?
Please bring moral values, integrity and honesty back to journalism…

Your analysis was very helpful in explaining how BBC bias is produced.
Another example of BBC political bias at work is the assignment of the BBC European correspondent to present news from Turkey. Turkey is not(yet)in Europe. The BBC corespondent reporting from that country should be the BBC Middle East or BBC Asian correspondent.

I was born in the UK and lived there for the first 19 years of my life, and I must admit that I looked upon the BBC as the fairest and most unbiased news organisation in the world. It was undoubtedly a lot better than it is today although looking back in retrospect even then it definitely was biased against Israel, maybe it was not quite as bad as it is nowadays. BUT now this organisation is so glaringly biased that even British parliament members have started to take notice and complain. There is no doubt in my mind that this noble organisation needs a thorough shaking up.

Has anyone noted how many reporters in the BBC appear to have Moslem names. Alot it seems and this does not include those behind the scenes. Perhaps there should be an analysis of how many BBC workers are involved in Arab causes or are Moslem sympathisers. This would explain the BBC’s attitude. Whenever I complain about a biased program to the BBC I get a deliberately vague response denying any bias. It is as though the BBC is deaf and blind to the truth and would like us to be also.

U.S. media, save for FoxNewsTV, shows a similar reluctance to condemn Palestinians’ violence, as if they are the underdogs who deserve sympathy. U.S. colleges and universities are being manipulated by Saudi largesse, and Israel gets negative criticism. I am concerned by the bias of the L.A. Times, the N.Y. Times and mainstream TV news.
Try an analysis of NPR or the N.Y.Times bias. They may be worse than the BBC.

When I watched the movie “The Long Road Home”, I was shocked at how anti-Jewish the Brits were. The comments of some of their politicians were mind-boggling, especially given that the Nazi tyranny had just been ended. But when you look long and carefully at Britain’s attitude towards Jews, the BBC slant toward the islamists isn’t too surprising. It’s nauseating, but not surprising. I too suspect that the Brits think that if they cater to the islamists that they will somehow be saved from their wrath. However, as other readers have pointed out, the Brits are dead wrong. Essentially, they are just an anti-semitic lot, and that won’t change, especially as their country gets more islamified with every passing day!

“If someone is lying to you, they are trying to control you” Ron L Hubbard.
For those who are wondering about the reasons for this mainstream media bias, which extends to issues
such as nonreporting of self defense incidents involving firearms,I will
suggest an explanation.
Socialism.
The socialist’s belief that your labour and property is their entitlement. That’s socialism.
And when it comes to muslim countries, they just don’t come more socialist.
And just ahead of saudi arabia the
palestinians are the most socialist of all. A so called country that relies 100% on welfare, and out of
millions of people produce nothing.
So, the mainstrem media are basically socialist sympathizers, a philosophy with a 100% failure rate.
