Breaking News: Gaza Missile Hits Israeli Bus, 2 Injured

April 7, 2011 15:45 by

An anti-tank missile hit an Israeli bus outside Kibbutz Saad in the Shaar HaNegev area, critically injuring a teenage boy and the driver.

Residents are being instructed to remain in shelters as additional mortars were fired.

Let’s see how many papers cover this attack. I bet the MSM will give more emphasis to the Israeli response.

Post a comment on how this is covered in your area.

UPDATE 6:25 pm: It didn’t take long for BBC to revert to form:

The Beeb’s inverted background info is even worse. Israeli security measures are stated as fact, while “bouts of terror and rocket attacks” are attributed to something “Israel said.”

Last month saw some of the worst violence since Israel launched Operation Cast Lead in Gaza in December 2008.

In one week in March, at least 10 Palestinians – including several civilians and children – were killed by Israeli attacks.

In the same period, militants in Gaza fired more than 80 rockets and mortar shells into southern Israel.

Hamas had pledged to try to restore a ceasefire that ended on 16 March when an Israeli air strike killed two of its militants in the Palestinian territory.

However, Israel said it had suffered “bouts of terror and rocket attacks”.

See HR’s latest media critique on the Goldstone Report, which covered Israel’s efforts to defend its citizens against Palestinian rocket attacks.

German TV-stations like ARD or ZDF or the major newspapers normally don’t care about jewish children.

The BBC have already come up with the usual form of response – they emphasize the bus was ‘nearly empty’ and in referring to the violence last month, put the injuries/deaths of palestinian before Jews. Classic reversal of cause and effect.

The BBC also reported that “one person” was injured in the mortar attack on the bus. They made no mention of that person being a child. You can be quite sure that when anyone under the age of 20 is injured in Gaza they are always classified as a child, no matter whether they were armed or not.

The Wall Street Journal’s headline reporting this incident states: “Israel, Hamas Trade Attacks in Gaza.” Not “Gazan Missile Hits Schoolbus, Critically Wounding Israeli Teenager.” This painting of Palestinian violence followed by Israeli response as a morally equivalent tit for tat is maddening.

A New Year, same old enemies! Maybe it’s time Israel ridded herself of these pests! Israel…the world (i.e Satan) is against you, but you have The Almighty God on your side! What are you afraid of? Be like your King David, and take down this Goliath, with God’s help!

Knowing the hostility of most of the so called media and the world towards Israel, we can only pray for God’s mercy for our people Israel, that they will lift up their hearts to him and
pray Baruch haba b’Shem Adonai. .and He will answer their prayers for His intervention. We
only have the God of Israel to fight for us against the hordes of Israel/Jew haters, inside and
outside Israel; and it is getting worse every day as we draw nearer to His return to rule and
reign from His throne in Jerusalem. What a day that will be! Please make sure you are there

As Jews interested in Israel, we have to be especially vigilant and proactive. I suggest:
    - Noting which newspapers or members of the press write in a pro-Israel manner and then sending our own letters to them, complimenting their efforts. It is not to only comment on this site or other wonderful pro-Israel websites, or we are ‘preaching to the choir,” so to speak.
    - Encouraging others in your community to follow your lead.
    - initiating a “task force” in your community to make the above easier.
    - Joining organizations that are already doing this
    - Sending email/speak to your own non-Jewish friends and colleagues. Help them realize how unfair the media is towards Israel. Everyone knows that ‘words’ are harmful.
Sending short ‘letters to the editor’ of local newspapers, voicing your displeasure. Write more than once; don’t leave it to the ‘next guy.’
-Don’t stay on the Internet too long mulling this over- DO IT! Be a PROACTIVE JEW.

Based on the recent poll of Palestinians, one-third of them ought to be celebrating this attack right now. I guess terror attacks on Israel are good for the Palestinian candy companies.

My previous comment was with error. Here it is again:
It was not “a bus”. It was a yellow bus, known to transport children to and from school.
You should have emphasized it in the title.

Thank you Father for giving your prophet Isaiah the revelation that he penned in Isaiah 53,
when he spelled out in no uncertain terms what Israel’s Messiah would be like, and what
He would do, and how He would die, and be raised again from the dead, and how You would
“divide Him a portion with the great (of your Kingdom), and He shall divide the spoil with the
strong; because He has poured out His soul unto death: and He was numbered with the
transgressors, and He bore the sin of many (the whole world), and made intercession for the
transgressors.” What a glorious Messiah we Israelis/Jews have. . and those among the
Gentiles who believe in Israel’s Messiah. I do fervently hope that you are one of them.

Increased missile attacks by Hamas terrorists will increase in severity.
They are designed to provoke massive Israeli response which will inevitably kill some muslim Gazan civilians. (The more the better for Hamas.)
The compliant world media will report on “Jewish savagery.”
Obama will be “forced” to invoke his extreme-left-designed “doctrine” to protect innocent civilians (as in Libya.)
US or NATO or UN military will be sent to support Hamas, possibly in confrontation with IDF.
From this it’s only a short step to declaring Israel an “outlaw” state and taking whatever actions the Judenhass world deems fit. There are too many possible scenarios at this point: choose your own.
Obama’s support by American Jews will drop by half, from 78% to “only” 39%.
Psalms 135:16. “Eyes have they, but they see not.”

Human beings don’t shoot missles at buses. Animals don’t even do that. I think Romulins do that. Yes, the shooters must be those evil Romulins.

I don’t know what u mean by romulins, but whatever it is; they are not animals nor people, animals kill for their hunger only, people don’t kill babies of 3 months, so who are they? EVIL on this earth! That’s is the name we should call them! Evil only kills this way or harm this way. Shall Israelis kill an arabic baby???? the way they have done it with the 5 members of this family?

The UK media, apart from the anti semitic BBC, are playing the same game I’m sorry to report.
    This from The Daily telegraph:

“Israel shells Gaza after anti-tank missile hits school bus”
“Israeli forces immediately struck back, shelling various locations across the Gaza Strip, killing a 50-year-old man and wounding at least eight people including a 4-year-old girl, Palestinian medics said.
An Israeli helicopter machine-gunned a target in Gaza for the first time since the January 2009 war”

The UK ITN news put the Gaza strike on first and then said, towards the very end of the report that Israel had been fired upon from Gaza. So the first thing viewers would hear was that Israel had attacked Gaza, and then, if they haven’t switched off mentally or literally, that Israel had been attacked by Gaza.

    This is psychologically contrived bias.

The enemies of Israel, which are many, are the enemies of the G-D of Israel, Which as a Christian is my G-D as well. Therefore my enemies too. The end times are at hand, They will all stand before the Judgement seat in due course. My prayers for Israel and its people will continue until the return of our Lord. Shalom Israel, Shalom.
