I AM NOT JEWISH but love what Israel has done and admire them tremendously. i HOPE TO GO THERE AND VISIT AND SEE THE MIRACLES THEY HAVE CREATED.. I love your reporting and am disgusted with much of what I see elsewhere. I read three newspapers a day – WSJ FT and the local paper plus listen to Fox. KEEP UP YOUR GREAT WORK!!!

THERE WAS A TIME WHEN TIME MAGAZINE COULD BE RELIED UPON TO HAVE AN OBJECTIVE AND TRUTHFUL REPORTING OF NEWS. THAT HAS SINCE BEEN REPLACED BY THE GLORIFICATION OF TERROR, MURDER AND GENOCIDE. TO HONOR AN AVOWED SUPPORTER OF THESE BARBAROUS HORRORS IS A DISSERVICE TO JOURNALISM AND CIVIL DISCOURSE. TIME HAS DESCENDED TO THE LEVEL OF PROMOTING TERRORIST ORGANIZATIONS AND THEIR SICK OBJECTIVES.

Why should anyone be surprised? There’s always been a whif (stench) about Time Magazine of ‘A Gentlemen’s Agreement’ or, putting aside the film reference, the tradition that brought us exclusionary quotas at Ivy League schools and quotas that forced refugees back to the ovens. Contrasted with the crudity of the Aryan Nation and similar thugs, Time’s recurrent anti-semitism cast in elistist gentility is just as reprehensible … perhaps more so for its pretenses and absence of forthrightness. Just pay attention to its word choice in addition to subject matter coverage in most articles concerning Israel or Jews generally. Sign me a former Time Magazine subscriber who cancelled my subscription in disgust.

I only read Time Magazine because my brother lends it to me. I wouldn’t spend ten cents to subscribe to such a magazine.

Shoddy Journalism.
What one can expect of a descendant of convicts?.
Australians are the most bigoted people on earth. They forget what they have and are still doing, to the Original Australians. Absolute Genocide. In Australian eyes they can never do anything wrong. We, in Southern Africa, have been the recipents of their gall, lies and deceit ever since the Cape Colony would not let their forefathers settle here.

About McGeough the Australian journalist who won the Walkely Award. He is employed by the Fairfax Group which publishes the Sydney Morning Herald and the Melbourne Age. Fairfax is a sponsor of the Walkely Awards. Fairfax published an article by McGeough which shamelessly devoted page after page to promoting the Free Gaza movement and replete with factual errors in including the highly disputed claim that Mohamed Al Dura was shot by an Israeli. When correspondents to their newspapers raised the German documentary and the French Court case that discredited this claim, the details were ignored by Fairfax. Instead, it issued a clarification claiming that the error was in production. This saved McGeough from undergoing some heavy scrutiny about his research and his bias. Probably won him the Walkely but also discredited the award for all time.

That he was awarded for an article which, to put it kindly, ignored the undeniabel fact that this was a set up against Israel, says all about the Fairfax Group – neither fair nor honest.

McGeough works for the Fairfax group, which is well known for its left wing, populist, shoddy journalism.
The reporters who previously specialised in Middle Eastern affairs were known for their unashamed outspoken anti Israel views.Ongoing local pressure managed to remove the worst one.
McGeough’s overblown, dramatic style can be ridiculed for being poor journalism but is popular with Walkely as he expresses similar views to the left wing, politically correct, maybe even radical, judgement panel.
However I doubt many Australians take Walkely at all seriously, for obvious reasons.
