BBC Pounds Israel

Once again, in true BBC style, the story is not about a terrorist attack on Israelis but on Israeli counter-measures, presented as aggressive actions.
And what did the BBC choose to focus on as over 100 rockets and mortars rained on Israel’s southern towns and cities over the weekend?
In the second item on the BBC News homepage, the BBC is concerned with Egyptian anger against Israel over the deaths of Egyptian policemen during the Thursday terror attack. Where is the dedicated coverage of the rocket attacks from Gaza?
And what of the terror attack itself? According to the BBC:
It happened on the Israeli-Egyptian border as Israeli troops pursued suspected militants who had fired shots into Israel, killing eight.
Let’s look at this sentence again:
- “Suspected militants”: Even putting aside the use of the term “militant” instead of terrorist, what exactly is “suspected” about the ? The terrorists had already engaged in a gun battle with Israeli forces after shooting at civilian buses and vehicles, including the use of a rocket propelled grenade on a family car. How could they still be “suspected”?
- “Fired shots into Israel”: The terrorists had, as outlined above, done far more than simply “firing shots”. In addition, the attacks took place on sovereign Israeli territory near the Egyptian border, something the BBC fails to acknowledge.
In addition the BBC, despite being a 24 hour rolling news service, was still quoting a figure of 20 rockets since Saturday night despite the fact that nearly five times as many rockets had fallen since the BBC last updated its story.

Hey, I am British and stand firmly with Israel, along with most of my friends. It has nothing to do with being a ‘Brit’ more to do with being a ‘twit’ (nice English word – meaning b****y idiot!) Notice the BBC still hasn’t published the Balen report into bias at the BBC!

What would you do if Scotland (who gave a mass murderer back to Libya) fired missles into British territory killing 8 people and wounding others? Okay Marilyn, I stand properly chastized. I was responding emotionally and I hope you are indictive of most British citizens. Still, it would seem not enough Brits let the BBC know their feelings. Corporations in the U.S. usually respond when public opinion makes a loud enough noise. I watch BBC America on cable. They are never so blatantly bias. If they were Americans would jam it down their throats. We need more British like yourself to make their voices heard to the BBC.

OK Marylin. Maybe not all Brits are biassed against Israel but this “silent majority” does not condemn or criticise this hatred. Unfortunately, this apathy is also rampant among much of British Jewry. Still, you secret and silent supporters need to look into and understand this most unlikely anti-Israeli coalition that exists in Britain – the trade unions, the academies, the medical organisations, the extreme left, the extreme right, the self-declared liberals, the skinheads, the ragheads, the shitheads, the Methodist Church, the media, the Foreign Office. Not surprisingly, the Irish, the Welsh and the Scots are even worse than the English. (This is the only “United Kingdom” you have). What kind of pact is this, that combines such unlikely partners into a common hatred of Israel and the Jews? Thus do not be surprised that we see Britain as entirely against Israel.

Well so typical of Britain. did they not release the Lockerbie murderer on humanitarian grounds. He was dying but a year later he i alive. The Brits are getting their share with their riots since there garbage is coming back onto them. Maybe they will understand when their country turns Muslim and Sharia law is their way of life. It would be of value if the BBC reporters had to live in Israel for a while and be subjected to the terror that Israelis live with every day. All anyone has to do is look on a land area map or a population map of the middle east to see the obvious. Or is it the 18th century all over again? Or maybe the middle ages, which is still the practice of the arabs.

The problem is that Israel never ‘pounds’ Gaza the way it should…when will Israel quit being a ‘softi’, and defend itself the way the US or UK would? the media will scruitinize Israel no matter what action they take, so just give them the headlines they want, and give the Israelis some peace and quiet in their OWN land!

We know that the western media is always against Israel. I think that the BBC, and The New York Times are just taking an opportunity to make more money being sensationalist whithout telling the whole story. Why BBC? Well, UK is the country with the most anti-Israeli feelings translated in anti-Israel activist organizations, probably funded with UK tax payers. To me is a shame on the western media, also on the Arab countries, and on the Palestinian “authority” taking Israeli defense from terrorist attacks as an “agression to the arabs in Gaza” The ME Quartet, a bunch of clowns; who are they?, representing their own countries and trying to dictate other countries what to do? what are they doing really? . Have they said something about the arab terrorist attacks: NO! What about Obama administration? Hey, it’s time to face the facts. The Brits are not Brits anymore. About twenty percents of the population in UK is Muslims, and considering the size of their families and the amount of new immigrants from Muslim countries, the Muslims will be more than 50% in less than 20 years. If the BBC would bother to translate to English and make public some of the preaching heard in Muslim mosques in UK there would be no doubt about how close UK is to turning into a terrorist Muslim country, something like a European Iran. So, those of you who are young enough to be there in twenty years from now, be prepared to find some other place to live, or change your religion and your culture to match that of the new Muslim UK in the near future.

It is shameful that the BBC which has a history of high journalistic standards in recent times has begun to interpret and editorialize the news rather than report it without bias. If the BBC continues to do so they will invite the shame of the world and allow those who would seek to undermine the British people into the fabric of their society eventually causing turmoil.
