In a report in The Scotsman, “Palestinian killer’s home demolished by Israel,”  the final paragraph states:

Putting aside issues concerning appropriate descriptions and terminology for the Temple Mount, it is a factual error to state that Israeli visits to the site break agreed arrangements.  The arrangements that have existed for many years are that Israelis / Jews are allowed to visit the Temple Mount but are expressly prohibited from praying there.

The Palestinians may see visits by Israeli politicians as a provocation but they certainly do not break agreed arrangements.

The Associated Press, whose journalist is credited with the story, has confirmed to HonestReporting that this language does not appear in the AP’s original but has been inserted into The Scotsman’s article by that newspaper’s editors.

A request for a correction has been sent to The Scotsman. Watch this space.

HRsuccessUPDATE

The Scotsman has removed the words “as it breaks agreed arrangements” following HonestReporting’s request.
