Exposed: Pallywood Returns to Gaza

November 15, 2012 15:46 by

What happens when the cameras turn up at the scene of an airstrike in Gaza and there simply aren’t enough Palestinian dead and injured to produce dramatic footage that can be used against Israel in the international media? We’ve seen it before. Palestinians who appear to be injured or even dead for the benefit of the TV cameras turn out to be nothing of the sort once they are no longer the focus.

This is all the more so in Gaza, where Palestinian stringers are often filming in the absence of international news crews.

The example below is taken from a BBC interview on the targeted killing of Hamas military commander Ahmed Jabari. During the interview (full version here), footage from Gaza is shown. At 2:11 mins in, a Palestinian in a beige jacket and black T-shirt, presumably injured in the aftermath of an Israeli airstrike, is picked up and taken away. Yet at 2:44 mins, the same Palestinian has staged a remarkable recovery.

We’ve taken the relevant footage so that you can see for yourself.

Welcome to Pallywood!

Everywhere in the West, the palestinians are believed. See this for instance with photos and videos on a popular “alternative” Dutch site :

    http://www.klokkenluideronline.net/artikel/19674/breek-los-lieve-mensen-help-de-palestijnen

They are calling for everyone to rise up and help the palestinians against the “satanic zionists” !
Criticising the MSM for being “pro-Israel” ( I have never noticed that myself, only the opposite except in very rare cases)
Pallywood certainly is back ,and being successful, God help us all.

Well maybe you should watch this documentary film and then tell us how it’s all fake:

I don’t think anyone believes it is ALL fake because many do lose their lives. But it is very true that rockets are launched from Gaza right from the middle of highly populated civilian areas. Then when a response takes civilian lives it would seem that a great deal of fault falls on those who choose to put civilians in that position. If they see themselves as warriors let them take their war out to the fields where no one but them will feel the retribution.

      @bcam

Nobody suggested that innocent people have never died on the Arab side when Israel fights against Arab terror. That’s an unfortunate and tragic consequence of combat in densely packed urban areas, and terror groups like Hamas and Hezbollah place civilians in danger by hunkering down among them. But this faked footage is still a blatant example of Hamas attempts to manipulate the media with a dramatic scene of an “injured” man. It’s a lie, pure and simple.

Sometimes even the reporters are part of it, Orla Guerin of the bbc being a prime example.

At about 10:04pm U.S Eastern time, 15 November, CNN carried this video editing out the “injured” man walking away (and this was not inadvertant – they showed clips both before and after including the woman draped in the head-to-toe in the white robe).

I get the feeling that certain media outlets such as the BBC and The Guardian knows that a lot of these scenes are fake and couldn’t care less as it seems their main aim when it comes to the Israeli Palestinian conflict is to paint Israel as the bad guys and the Palestinians as the victims who have never set a foot wrong.

i wrote Reuters about this yesterday very innocently saying I had seen it and asking if they use “dramatizations” I got a personal response that they will “investigate” If you agree Honest Reporting should we not all let them know we saw it on BBC, provide the link and complain.

BTW, CNN was running a loop yesterday featuring the same guy in the brown jacket but not showing him getting up. I could not figure out how to contact CNN.

If you complain, you may want to also ask why the loop only shows scenes of devastation in Gaza and not Israel, although I have to say I am finding CNN ok.

The reason one doesn’t see Israeli devastation of people is because they are alwasys prepared to save people in their shelters.the Palestinians are just busy collecting munitions and don’t really care about their people.

Reinforcing my suspicion that this BBC picture editor is part of a Pallywood script, a sharp eyed blogger has found an image of a dead child being held by his father, presented by Hamas as a victim of an Israeli strike.

The only problem is that it’s a picture that was taken a month ago in Syria.

Hamas Recycles Pictures of Syrian Dead And claims them as Palestinian dead

Interesting that there’s a striking resemblance of that father to this BBC picture editor who supposedly lost his child in an Israeli strike. Maybe that’s what gave him the inspiration to do what he did.

On F24 English, Nov 16, 23:25 Israel time, new-media reporter Creedon explained the term “pallywood”, saying it’s a rare phenomenon, and showed the above BBC clip, exposed by you. But he made an effort to side with the BBC, saying that the clip may have been poorly edited, showing an earlier event (man on feet) at a later time, or perhaps the man just fell and was given help, but not actually wounded.

I suggest you make some effort to enlighten him on the facts regarding pallywood

I found this site, where his report today may appear tomorrow:
