In my opinion don’t even worry about it. The people engaged in such events are hateful ignoramuses and nothing you say or do will have an impact.
Hot debate. What do you think?

1. Attend their meetings and ask questions—- peacefully.
2. Carry opposing signs— “Apartheid?? Define your terms!!
Define your termns!!
“How about a debate—- Arabs in Knesset vs. Jews in Arab Parliments???”
“Arabs = 20% of Israeli Population and they won’t leave!!! Why????”
“Apartheid— tell this to Israeli Arabs!!!”

I work it one-on-one. Have since 911.
In re to IAW events: search out the program at a given institution of higher learning; write a brief, succinct document outlining “truth” versus secular humanist relativistic lies; send it to each invited speaker, each person cited for organizing the event; write each member of the governing bodies of the institutions; write the politicians in the area in which the IAW target institution is located;
In re to BDS: search for the organizers within the various countries involved; send those names to government officials responsible for oversight of laws which govern their citizens in regard to violating their own governments foreign policy by interfering with the policies of sovereign nations viewed as friends and allies;
In the case of the FreeGaza Flotilla scheduled for May; research the laws of each country from which any of the 15 boats are coming from, write the government person responsible for oversight on the relevant law of the country which governs espionage, treason or sedition; give the name of the person within that country who is organizing this “running of the marine blockade” event, asking them to charge this organizer of the flotilla participation in their country, for either espionage, treason or sedition. Search for names of “endorsers”; follow the same procedure of alerting government officials asking them to invoke relevant laws, charging when and if necessary; defunding when and if necessary; etc.

I am in complete agreement with Steve 4Peace when he says that:
I am of the firm belief that the only way to combat this garbage heap of lies is with the truth – not about Israel because they won’t care what you say – but the truth about Islamism and about Muslim countries. Arab Apartheid Week, Sudan Genocide Week, Shariah Law Week, Islamic Homophobia Week, Terrorism Week, Iranian Totalitarian Week, etc. I am of the opinion that these guys can dish it out but they cannot take it. Embarass them with the truth and they will back off. Nothing violent, nothing hateful – just the truth. Our Jewish community stands by and does nothing but bitch. Our Jewish Organizations do nothing period – they just keep quiet and hope it will all blow away and then when it settles down they solicit more money to combat rising anti-Semitism.
At StandWithUs.com we are doing something about this with our DIVEST FROM TERROR campaign. Please check out our pro-active strategy.

Having attended IAW events, Finkelstein talks, IJV events, etc., I am of the firm belief that nothing you can ask or say will sway them. They believe that if you are for Israel, you are a Zionist and your opinion means less than nothing. I am also of the firm belief that the only way to combat this garbage heap of lies is with the truth – not about Israel because they won’t care what you say – but the truth about Islamism and about Muslim countries. Arab Apartheid Week, Sudan Genocide Week, Shariah Law Week, Islamic Homophobia Week, Terrorism Week, Iranian Totalitarian Week, etc. I am of the opinion that these guys can dish it out but they cannot take it. Our Jewish Organizations do nothing period – they just keep quiet and hope it will all blow away and then when it settles down they solicit more money to combat rising anti-Semitism. At least the JDL in Toronto had the guts this year to act against IAW but there is much more to be done. The time to get started is NOW for a full blown campaign both on and off campus for the Fall of 2011 and the Spring of 2012.

Is their apartheid in Israel? Yes! Abu Abbas has stated that in a future Palestinian state, no Israelis will be allowed. Currently, no Israeli vehicules are allowed into Palestinian controlled areas. That is true apartheid.
By contrast, Palestinians are treated in Israeli hospitals and those with work permits, work in Israel. No Israeli works in Palestinian controlled territory for fear of being killed. That is true apartheid..

Here in ann arbor there is a very loudmouthed but small contingent of relentless BDS-ers, some of whom have been harassing a local synagogue for almost 8 years. Several claim to be jewish, and Quakers are prominent among them . The only Muslim is a covert from the Baptists.
Although the afflicted synagogue has been excessively forebearing ( on the flawed “ignore them and they’ll go away” theory) others in the community of all faiths have been more assertive against them which , along with the BDSers own obnoxious exhibitionism, has made them pretty much persona non grata at venues from city hall to the university to stores they’ve vainly tried to boycott ,to local media..
Specifically, they have been constructively encouraged in their obnoxiousness by a number of folks who engage/oppose them online, and in person in snide and witty — but informed –ways that cause them to act out even more to the detriment of themselves and their silly cause.
The lesson: get to know who’s who in your BDS community and don’t hesitate to spoil their day , by ‘pulling their chains”, as they try to spoil yours and israel’s.
And NEVER NEVER allow them the opportunity or dignity of framing the terms of “discourse”. ( this drives them CRAZY since they take themselves so damn seriously, and yet they are not serious people)

Pictures speak louder than words. We just returned from 2 weeks in Israel, mostly in Tel Aviv and saw children of all races playing together. We saw people of all races working. We passed through lovely Arab villages in the Galilee with large homes. The major networks show only negative pictures. We need to show more of the positive without going into politics. The pictures will speak for themselves.

Perhaps posters on campuses that pose these points:
What would you do if the people in the next county to you wanted to exterminate you?
Who refuse to accept any terms of peace that you offer.
Who make war on you, kill your women and children in particular, lose every war and then expect to be treated like a victorious army.
An army who do not wear uniforms and who hide behind civilians.
Who make outrageous and disproportionate demands based on myths and lies.
There is no question that they wish to carry out negotiations.
The Palestinians demand that they have land back that was never theirs
They refuse to allow one Jew on their soil.
Who is the real apartheid people now?

You should also complain to the university to explain that this kind of manifestation is not freedom of expression, it’s simply promotion of hatred which causes friction among students and is NOT constructive.
If enough students complain, the university will not allow for these events to take place.
Another issue is campuses that have a small contingent of Jews, so they’re more easily overwhelmed. The best way is to have a local Jewish organization behind you, when students fight alone it’s a lot easier to ignore their requests.

First of all let people know that boycotting Israel (an American allied state) is illegal under US law. Secondly, let people know that Israel cannot be considered an apartheid state because Arabs have equal rights in Israel, including the right to vote, social benefits, freedom of speech and house representatives just to name a few facts that contradict this accusation. Show your support during Israel Apartheid Week by wearing a t-shirt or cap with an Israeli flag, or carry a small Israeli flag. Hold up signs as suggested above and have one-on-one conversations with anyone involved. Some signs: “Islam is not a race”, “Palestine” is apartheid where no Jews are allowed”

It is difficult not to be really angry with these idiotic people who don’t see that Israel is the one victimized by the Palestinians and their leadership,. One of the great things about Israel is they don’t allow themselves to be victims as occurred during WWII, mostly caused by people being unable to believe that their enemy really wanted them all dead. I think the Israeli’s believe that the Palestinians and other Muslim fanatics want them all dead and they are right. They are the only democracy in the Middle East and yet idiotic liberals in this country and elsewhere seem to only be able to stand with people who allow themselves to be victimized by their leaders, not by Israel. It is beyond understanding except through the lens of the Bible and prophecy that has already occurred and is occurring as we speak. Pity those who go against Israel because in the end they will be the ones who will lose big time.

It’s clearly impossible to sway those who’ve already made up their minds, they will only dismiss anything that doesn’t coincide with their views.
I think the real goal here is to educate those who are swayed by their lies. Tell the truth and then tell the truth and then tell the truth again.
It’s astounding how many people here in the West have no idea of the history of the land of Israel and genuinely believe that there is such a thing as a Palestinian and that they are horribly victimized. Their lies need to be exposed.

A rhetorical tactic i have used to good effect in person and in print is to point out that BDSers are actually far more anti arab than anti-jewish/israeli:
Why? Because they treat palestinians /arabs/muslims as if they were idiot children, endlessly unaccountable for their own bad and self-destructive behavior….and simultaneously seem to regard israelis as saints who are somehow supposed to keep turning cheeks even after all 4 have been used up.
Ongoing chaos in muslim countries that have zero involvement with israel makes these points easy to document and shuts most BDS sympathizers down ( although the hardcore crazies are in a parallel universe).

Perhaps if we could somehow focus on the fact that apartheid is something all muslims will constantly choose for themself.
Look at the western lands that have taken in muslims. They all gather together in an area and that area then becomes off limits to any non muslim.
They are now refered to as the ‘no go zones’. This is done everywhere they immigrate to.
This might help for people to see that apartheid is something muslims want for themselves and will strongly enforce where ever they live.

Come on now! The critics of Israel will never be convinced, with even the most proven “Hasbara” (Israeli convincing efforts). When you have, as in the UK, a most unlikely anti-Israeli coalition of trade unions, various churches, anarchists, Muslims, the extreme left, self appointed “liberals”, skinheads, ragheads, shitheads. etc., even the upheavals in the Arab theocracies, tyranies and police states will not change these idiots’ opinion of Israel. In the meantime let the Europeans enjoy the presence of 54 million Muslims. No anti-Israeli/Semitic attitudes will save them from the wrath of Islam. Poor sods!

In my opinion there is a break somewhere between 30 & 40. The younger Muslims and Arabs seem to be getting along pretty well with people there age and younger all over the world. I know because I spend a great deal of time on Facebook with them. I have friends all over the world. Now the older people are set in their ways and still think God or Allah speaks to them through the Holy Men. Not only that but the young men think it very appropriate that women do what they wish while the older men are trying to hang on to keeping women as breeders, sex machines, and all around slaves. Allowing a child 12 years old to be married to a 60 year old man is simply a cover-up for pedophilia. So get everyone is Israel to get on Facebook. Forget the other networks because Facebook rules. I have a mission to establish Peace on Earth by 2027. I need 2 billion people to do it and don’t look for a pay check. I am not wealthy but I am working on that. One of my best friends lives in Israel and if that friend or anyone in her family is ever in harms way…the World will see the other side of Powerpeace.
