Israeli Reporters Quit IFJ

July 20, 2006 18:12 by

IfjSix Israeli reporters renounced their membership in the International Federation of Journalists. This is in response to the IFJ censuring Israeli strikes on Hezbollah’s Al-Manar TV. According to Haaretz:

IFJ members in Israel demanded that the censure be lifted immediately and asked why the IFJ did not condemn Hezbollah for firing rockets at Israeli journalists.

The majority of western “journalists” are so eaten up with anti-Israel sentiment, along with a smattering of antisemitism, that they wouldn`t condemn anyone who tries a genocidal attack against Israel.
Let`s face it, they support the terrorists. As we`ve seen in Sudan, Congo and Somalia, they won`t condemn the genocides that have taken place.
How often do they report on the tens of thouands of North Koreans who have been put into experimental gas chambers, whole families at a time?
By not publicising these facts, they`re covering up for the most horrific acts and brutality that will only be known many years later.
They`re not journalists, because true journalists have ethics.
The current group of amateur hacks have no ethics, but sympathise fully with genocidal maniacs, making them political spokespeople – for dictators, theocracies, and genocidal regimes.

Do they know who they are coming out in favour of?
I had the misforture of seeing the Al Manar channel whilst in a hotel in Milan. Even without the benfit of understaning Arabic, the station was clearly geared to inciting hatred and violence against Israel. The people running this station cannot be called journalists, it is propaganda pure and simple.
