Journalist Union Scraps Israel Boycott

The National Union of Journalists scrapped its boycott of Israel. According to The Guardian:

The NUJ’s national executive council (NEC) took the decision and called for members to unite instead behind the union’s “key workplace priorities”.

What took the NUJ so long to wake up? Alan Johnston’s release from captivity made the embarrassing boycott superfluous. See here for how the two issues link.
