Biography
Dr. Aliza Lavie is a Member of Knesset for the Yesh Atid party in the 20th Knesset and was part of the governing coalition in the previous government. Dr. Lavie is a senior lecturer at the School of Communication at Bar-Ilan University in Israel and is one of the leading academics in Israel of the Jewish cultural sphere who aspire to draw on past history to provide answers to contemporary issues and bring them to the fore of public discussion.
In addition to her academic activity, as a writer, publicist, media personality, and social activist, Dr. Lavie’s areas of research include communications, multi-culturalism in Israel, and the role of women in Judaism.
