Morsi: The Jews Distorted My Anti-Semitic Comments

January 24, 2013 13:45 by

Now that Egyptian President Morsi’s comments about Jews being “descendants of apes and pigs” have been picked up by the mainstream media, particularly the New York Times, perhaps they might want to follow up on the meeting of US senators with Morsi in Cairo, as reported by The Times of Israel:

At first, the Egyptian president defended himself by saying he did not harbor negative feelings about Judaism or Jewish people.

He then launched a diatribe about Israeli policies against the Palestinians, Senator Chris Coons (D-DE) told Foreign Policy. “He was attempting to explain himself … then he said, ‘Well, I think we all know that the media in the United States has made a big deal of this and we know the media of the United States is controlled by certain forces and they don’t view me favorably,’” Coons told the magazine’s The Cable blog.

Asked if Morsi specifically named the Jews as the forces that control the American media, Coons replied that all the senators believed the implication was obvious. “He did not say [the Jews], but I watched as the other senators physically recoiled, as did I,” Coons said. “I thought it was impossible to draw any other conclusion.”

So let’s get this straight. According to Morsi, the Jews distorted his anti-Semitic comments.

You just couldn’t make this up. But will the mainstream media report it?

In case you haven’t seen them, here are Morsi’s comments from 2010:

It is IMPOSSIBLE that the occupant of the White House and those around him are unaware of Morsi’s thinking. They also know the true nature and objectives of the Muslim Brotherhood even though they go on and on about its benign nature (in spite of the overwhelming evidence to the contrary). None of this is news to this malevolent regime which continues with the delivery of F-16s and tanks to Egypt as though there is no difference at all between Mubarak’s Egypt and that of Morsi and the Muslim Brotherhood. Just think, the candidates for filling the national security and foreign policy resposibilities in the second Obama term are even more ideologically blinkered than those of his first term.

They are aware but some well placed Jewish guilt might support Morsi antisemitic opinion. As you should know there are plenty of antisemites among the American Jews.

The public digusting remarks made by Egypt’s “president” is pale compared to the actions of the president of our country aided and abetted by Hilliary Clinton, the State Department and a corrupted congress.

Why arm these murderous regimes? Why let our ambassador be murdered? Why forment the overthrowing of the governments of sovereign countries? Why send women to the front? Why disarm our defense system? Why stockpile hollow tip bullets? Why disarm American citizens? Why is Obama spending ridiculous amounts of taxpayer money on his vacations? Why is Obama entertaining our enemies? Why destroy our businesses and health care? DANGEROUS PEOPLE are in power in the USA.

    Speak out. RESIST.

Why arms the Egyptians with F16′s? you ask. Because by giving Israel the ‘qualative edge’ they can go on selling arms ad infinitum. After all Israel’s arms are for self-defense but Egypt only wants arms to obliterate Israel.

Morsi is the problem in the Middle East. He should spend more time helping
his countrymen instead of spewing invective on Israel which is a productive
democratic country which looks after their people.

Anti-Semitism & conspiracy theories aren’t new in Arabic speaking countries. Speaking about Morsi’s anti-Semitism, Egyptian street was and still fulfilled with anti-Jewish sentiment even under Mubarak rule. When defending their anti-Semitism, Arab leaders usually go to discuss the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and the influence of US Media, that for them, is all owned by Jews, and which both arguments are out of context. This kind of defense is a stereotype defense too. I think one of the Arabic leaders’ problems is with education i.e. lack of knowledge about the ancient history of the Jews in Arabic countries who –before they were expelled– used to call “home”.

If you think for one moment where Morsi’s coming from isn’t the destruction of Israel, then you’ll buy this bridge I got for sale. This man knows where his bread is buttered–Washington, to the tune of 1 billion a year! When will DC wake up the fact that paying to keep him friendly to us is a sham, he’s a kept man and plays us to the hilt.

As a Jew and devoted Zionist, i say it doesn’t much matter Morsi’s gut opinions on Jews or Israel. All that matters is that he understands regional power equations and red lines and proves himself a rational actor.

He did just that in the Gaza crisis. He opted to preserve stability and order instead of rhetorical idiocy (like Erogoan) As a result, Morsi found Egyptian and personal prestige.

At the same time, it is good for Israel to hear such flilth from its “peace” partners. This will help the country keep its guard up.

Bottom line: Judge him buy what he does, not what he says. He has proven himself an aceptable regional player by US , Israeli and Saud standards.

The Arabs are what they are, no chance of changing their anti-Jewish feelings as it is inbread in all especially the extremist Islamists such as morsi and his gang.
It is quite unbelievable that in the 21st century one can still hear that humans descend from apes and pigs!
Did they hear of education, progress, inventions, medical advances and proper economy, if so they should use these facilities to bring their people out from the Stone Age.
Shame shame shame! They even ignore history!

Nothing is inbred. Anti-Semitic attitudes and beliefs are a result of propaganda to the young. Until the Arabs stop teaching their children to hate their neighbors, there will be no long term peace.

He’s just reflecting Egyptian anti-Semitism, which permeates their society. Why should anyone expect their leader to be any different? His latest denials also show him him to be a liar. No surprise there, either.

While it is important that mainstream media reported Morsi’s Jew-hating words, it is more important that Zionists, including Israelis, stop using artificial words that promote anti-Israeli feeling. I mean words like: “West Bank,” “Palestinian,” “occupation” or “occupied territory,” and most especially “settlements” or “settlers”! Every time you use those words, you are giving legitimacy to the Arabs’ position that there was a country called “Palestine” that the Jews settled illegally and are now occupying! Also, you are directly undermining Israel and Zionism.

Didn’t the US support the Shah of Iran? What happened? The US is still naive to have thought that this elite member of the Muslim Brotherhood was to embrace Israel with loving hugs. On second thought, the US was not naive but deliberately embraced this terrorist to it’s advantage.

How soon we deliberately forget. Very sad indeed.

I still don’t see how they came to the conclusion he was talking about Jews, can someone please explain this to me.

Could it be because of Manny Friendman’s statement in the Times Of Israel.

“Let’s be honest with ourselves, fellow Jews. We do control the media. We’ve got so many in the executive offices in all the big movie production and TV companies it’s almost obscene.
That’s not all. We also control the ads that go on those TV shows.”

The implication is clear, it can only escape from people who do not want to see it. Two sentences say it all:

According to Morsi, the Jews distorted his anti-Semitic comments.

You just couldn’t make this up. But will the mainstream media report it? And the mainstream media that reported it is driven by “certain forces…”

If you cannot see the connection, something must be lacking in your ability to apply logic to anything.

I didn’t expect this site denigrate into personal attacks Dan.
You didn’t mention Manny Friedman’s statement, he’s saying the same thing. Maybe it’s true, who knows, but that doesn’t mean much by itself, maybe the Amish have a huge corner of the hand made linen market covered, but that is not something bad. If Jews do control or oversee the majority of the media, is that a bad thing necessarily.

Are these men bad, is it a bad thing that they are in charge of so much media. Does it mean they are skewing the news we receive, who knows, maybe they are, has anyone actually looked into this.

For those insisting that Hillary Clinton was a great Secretary of State, please examine some of her legacy. Hilary Clinton was responsible for downgrading the missile shield in Europe to the displeasure of US allies. Secretary Clinton supported the “leading from behind” at Arab Springs a movement that she mistook to favor democratization, but that was, from the start, designed to expand Shaia law. The SOS dealt ineffectively with Iran, North Lorea, Yemen, the Sudan, Libya, Tunisia, and Egypt.
Hillary Clinton has kept the US on the sidelines while over 60,000 of Syrian civilians are being slaughtered, and she did not keep the chasm of trust between the United States and Israel from growing.
