CNN introduces a news video about a Palestinian athlete with unrelated footage. The narrator says that the footage of a violent protest is simply part of the Palestinians’ struggle for an independent country, ignoring the fact that Israel has repeatedly invited the Palestinians to the negotiating table.

I have been reading about settler-led conflicts in Nablus, and came here to find out what constitutes the truth of the matter. I find NOTHING. Since I know that if these reports were false, HR would have pounced on them, I can only expect that they are true. “Honest reporting” requires us (meaning we Jews) to admit our own culpability when we are responsible and to advocate for our own change, as well as to point out the misdeeds of others.
