No Time For Israel: An In-Depth Analysis
December 29, 2010 16:31 by BackSpin EditorWhen Time magazine published its September cover story, “Why Israel Doesn’t Care About Peace,” we were stunned by the article’s fundamental misrepresentation of Israeli attitudes. We wondered whether that article was a one-time failure of objectivity or if it represented a prevalent bias in Time’s reporting on Israel.
So HonestReporting reviewed Time’s reporting on Israel over an entire year November 2009 – November 2010. Click the image below to see the long-term study.

In high school, some 50+ years ago, our history teacher used to tell us that Time’s politics were as Red as its cover. Things haven’t changed much since then, it seems, with the far left.

It is very difficult for me to try and understand why a so called “renowned and respected” publishing enterprise, the Time-Life Corporation, would allow such misrepresentation and anti-Israel bias to be put on the printed pages of Time Magazine.

I am 82 years old. I’ve been a subscriber to Time magazine all of my adult life. I’ve always known they were anti-Israel. After the September,2010 issue I cancelled my subscription and told them in a letter I knew they were anti-Israel , but now I know they’re also anti-Semitic.

It appears that Time moves in a Medieval mentality of Islamic oriented blood-letting. Ironically, there are even more archaic annals lying about that profess principles of longevity of purpose instead of blood curdling commands to clobber their neighbors. The Hebrew Scriptures suggest to one and all that not only Israel CAN WIN but that Israel WILL WIN because of the unique origins of its destiny. Time to do some homework, Time.

I appreciate your articles but wonder why you are preaching only to the converted. Are you writing to Time or other newspapers with you relevant comments? I think that would be much more useful.

I canceled my subscription to Time magazine years ago because of it’s anti-Israel stance. I was a subscriber to US News and World Report for many years after that. Now USNWR is no longer a printed magazine (online version only) and I was offered a Time magazine subscription in its place. Once again, I canceled my subscription. I refuse to support this magazine in any way!

I actually found the Time report refreshing. Finally the editors were telling how they really felt, and the anti-semitism was no longer couched in questionable terms.
It is terrific that you are doing such a wonderful job monitoring media bias against Israel and the Jews.

It is very easy to understand why Time is so biased against Israel.
1. How many Muslims are there on the board of Time Life?
2.To sell newspapers, they have to print sensational lies against Israel.
3. One must also wonder what the Time Life reporters are being paid by the Islamic states to make Israel to be the baddies and the PA the poor sufferers of the bully Israelis.
4> remember that there is a vast market with 1.5 BILLION Muslims and only 14 million Jews worldwide.
So, business is business.
If they tell the truth, no Muslim would buy Time Life magazines.

What is to be done about the libel? This is nothing new. It is frightening to realize that this has been a fundamental policy of our government, especially the current ‘appease the Muslims, we must have oil, not truth’ behavior. Not to mention the fundamental anti Jew viewpoint that has reemerged. THe militant Muslims and not so militant Muslims are extremely well funded and have a saturation method with the media and the people. They are following their ally, Goebbels. “Tell a big enough lie often enough and the people will believe it”. So what can be done to reach our government and the media? Can a counter campaign be funded?

Time is the Marxist reporting Journal for the extreme Obama left wing lunatic fringe. There is no linkage between their articles and the truth on almost any topic. Because of this Time is now decidely Anti-Israel and Anti-Semitic and pro Islamic Fundamentalist. Just like the Obama Regime, they seek to twist any facts that do not support their adgenda.

I have stopped buying Time mag. for many years precisely for the reasons you have so brilliantly laid out. Good thing for younger readers that there are intelligent, honest journalists like yourselves doing such work. Too bad there are so few so brave. My grandchildren are toddlers, still, please don’t stop until they are old enough to read your work themselves!

Time has proven itself to be biased towards Israel. Thus it harms it jouranlistic integrity and its role as a reputable media outlet. It needs to change this both for its own sake and also for the world. Bigotry against a nation undermines it in the eyes of the world and further causes strife and conflict.

It seems that just yesterday Sharon was suing Time for libel. It’s hard to believe that happened in the early 1980s. It looks like the Time tiger cannot change its strips. It is forever anti-Israel. It is disconcerting to say the least that a magazine’s bias can continue decade after decade. Is it part of the Time job description description to despise the Jewish state? Doesn’t Israel bashing get old after 30-40 years? I guess I ask the same thing about anti-semitism. How sad.
