Terms & Conditions
1. Important
These terms & conditions contain important information concerning the Advocates Mission. Please read them before you make a booking. When you make your application you agree to be bound by these terms & conditions.
Your participation on the Advocates Mission is subject to your application being accepted by the NSW Jewish Board of Deputies. The NSW Jewish Board of Deputies can reject an application for any reason in its absolute discretion. If for any reason your application is unsuccessful you will be entitled to a full refund.
Places on the Advocates Mission are limited. Early registration and payment of deposit are essential to enable you to become an eligible participant.
It is HonestReporting that operates the program in Israel. While every effort will be made to adhere to the published program, HonestReporting reserves the right to make changes to the program in the event unforeseen circumstances arise. The NSW Jewish Board of Deputies also reserves the right to request that HonestReporting make changes to the published program in the event unforeseen circumstances arise.
The NSW Jewish Board of Deputies and HonestReporting each reserves the right to cancel the Advocates Mission (whether before it starts or once it is underway) due to unforeseen circumstances including force majeure (such as war, political unrest, acts of terrorism, and natural disasters or other similar events beyond our control).
It is a condition of your participation on the Advocates Mission that you have comprehensive travel insurance which includes cover for trip cancellation/interruption, medical expenses for injury, accident, death or delay, medical evacuation theft of valuables, baggage damage and acts of terrorism. A copy of your insurance certificate of insurance together with one passport size photograph must be provided to the NSW Jewish Board of Deputies no later than 21 days prior to the commencement of the Advocates Mission.

is included in Advocates Mission Fees
● Eight nights at the David Citadel Hotel, Jerusalem, in a standard room (unless you have booked upgraded accommodation)
● All meals throughout the Mission (except for free periods, as specified in the itinerary)
● Arrival and departure transfers from/to Ben Gurion airport for participants travelling directly to/from the David Citadel Hotel
● English-speaking guides
● Air-conditioned buses
● All guest speakers
● Refreshments during sessions
● Entrance fees
● Armed security and qualified Medic throughout the Advocates Mission
● Water on bus
● Tips for bus drivers and hostess
● HonestReporting/NSW Jewish Board of Deputies “Certificate of Achievement”, upon completion of the Mission
3. What
is not included in Advocates Mission Fee:
● Transportation to and from Israel
● Airport and departure taxes and charges
● Visa fees
● Your travel insurance
● Meals not detailed in the itinerary
● Tips for hotel staff
● Any extra guests you may wish to invite to join the group for meals
● Any extra alcohol or wine with meals (beyond that which is provided)
● Airport transfers if not flying immediately before/after your stay at the David Citadel Hotel
● Early check-in or late check-out to the hotel
● Any late check-out from any hotel
● Excess baggage charges
● Any items of a personal nature, such as telephone, laundry & mini-bar purchases.
4. Payment
of Advocates Mission Fee
Because of the requirements of the applicable laws in Australia relating to travel arrangements all payments must be made to our appointed the licensed travel agent:

Payment of your Advocates Mission fee can be made by cheque,
MasterCard or Visa.
When you return your application the travel agent (Travelbookers.com Pty Ltd) will charge your credit card an initial deposit of $500 per person. Where payment is to be made by cheque an initial payment of $500 per person is to accompany the application. An application will not be complete until funds are cleared.
Within 14 days after the travel agent (Travelbookers.com Pty Ltd) provides the NSW Jewish Board of Deputies with a copy of your application and confirmation of receipt of your deposit, you will be notified whether you have been accepted as a participant. If you are not accepted, your deposit will then be returned.
Sixty (60) days before the start of the Advocates Mission, the travel agent
(Travelbookers.com Pty Ltd) will charge your nominated credit 50% of the
balance of the total fee for the Advocates Mission.
Thirty (30)
days before the start of the Advocates Mission, , the travel agent
(Travelbookers.com Pty Ltd) will charge your nominated credit the balance of
the total fee for the Advocates Mission.
If you wish to pay by cheque, payments must be made
to the travel agent in accordance with the schedule detailed above. Your
payment should be sent directly to the travel agent.
Please note that you are required to provide the hotel with your credit card number which will be used only as a security, to charge "extras" (room service, laundry service, telephone calls or anything not included in the cost of the Advocates Mission). You will be asked upon acceptance of registration for your credit card details, irrespective of how you are paying for the Mission fees. Personal cheques are not accepted by the hotel. Please provide a card with an expiry date after the completion date of the Advocates Mission ie. after 4 December 2012.
5. Extra
Nights Accommodation
Accommodation for dates November 26 – December 4th, 2012 (8 nights) are included in the Mission costs. Extra nights' accommodation can be arranged at special rates, by the travel agent through HonestReporting’s tour operator, World Class Travel, prior to and after the Advocates Mission. Please note that these need to be booked in advance, and are charged separately, to your credit card, and will be charged during the Advocates Mission, in the name of World Class Travel – you will be given a copy of the invoice by the World Class Travel hostess during your stay with us.
6. Health
& Safety
We take your health and welfare very seriously. Walks of approximately 30 minutes (for example from the Western Wall to the David Citadel Hotel), and steps are an integral part of our program. By completing registration, you are stating that you are in a sufficiently good physical condition to join in these activities.
You are however responsible for maintaining your own health.
For your own safety, you must comply with instructions and guidance given by HonestReporting’s staff.
7. Cancellation
Policy
Any notice of cancellation must be given to the NSW Jewish Board of Deputies in writing. If you cancel you agree that the following fees will be payable to cover the estimated costs and expenses which will be incurred.
If you cancel more than thirty (30) days prior to the start of the Advocates Mission an administration fee of $300 will be charged.
If you cancel more than ten (10) but not more than thirty 30 days prior to the start of the Mission, 25% of the full amount will be charged.
If you cancel not more than ten (10) days prior to the start of the Advocates Mission 50% of the full amount will be charged.
If you cancel ten (10) days or less prior to the start of the Advocates Mission, you will forfeit the full cost and you will not be entitled to any refund.
8. Flights
Flights to Israel from Australia are very popular and we strongly advise you to contact the travel agent (Travelbookers.com Pty Ltd)or your travel agent as soon as possible to secure your airline ticket.
9. Passport
& Visas
It is your responsibility to ensure that you have a valid passport and visa including a reentry visa to Australia (if required).
Your passport must be valid for more than three months from the date of your return to Australia.

Additional Important notices
The NSW Jewish Board of Deputies and HonestReporting will not be liable for any loss or damage, injury, accident or delay sustained by you during the Advocates Mission. The NSW Jewish Board of Deputies and HonestReporting can only be liable to you if one its officers is negligent in discharging its (and not in relation to anyone else’s) responsibilities.
The NSW Jewish Board of Deputies and HonestReporting do not arrange travel themselves, and will not be liable in respect of any travel arrangements you may make.
