Stephen Walt’s Cold Words of Comfort
March 14, 2011 14:31 by Pesach BensonCold words of comfort indeed from Professor Stephen Walt on the Itamar massacre.
Walt, most famous for co-authoring The Israel Lobby, is no one-trick pony. In a 425-word post, 44 percent of his word count spreads around condemnation of Israel, settlers, Christian supporters, and of course, “U.S. politicians, whose deference to the Israel lobby has enabled the occupation.”
If ever a word cloud summed up the inner workings of someone’s brain, its this one I made. Three kids and their parents are killed in as grisly a murder as you’ll ever read about — but all Walt can do is condemn you know who.

Here’s pathetically feigned sympathy:
To say that I am appalled by the brutal murder of an Israeli family in the West Bank settlement of Itamar (near Nablus) is an understatement.
