Two Palestinian terrorists entered a synagogue in Jerusalem’s Har Nof neighborhood armed with a pistol and axes, murdering four Israelis and injuring six others early Tuesday morning. What were some of the international media’s initial reactions? For Canada’s CBC News, it was all about the perpetrators:

For the BBC, it wasn’t two Palestinian terrorists who carried out the attack but the “Jerusalem synagogue”:

As for the story itself, the BBC, yet again, questioned whether two armed Palestinians murdering Jews in a synagogue could possibly be a terror attack:

CNN’s first headline also failed, leaving the reader to wonder whether two Palestinians were also the victims of the attack, giving equal moral equivalence to the terrorists and their victims:

This style continued on CNN’s broadcast as seen in the caption below:

While many of the media outlets updated and corrected sub-standard headlines as more information became available, Reuters, hours after the event, still referred to a “suspected Palestinian attack”:

UPDATE

CNN at least, has issued an apology for its headline:

As CNN updated its reporting on the terrorist attack on the synagogue in Jerusalem earlier today, our coverage did not immediately reflect the fact that the two Palestinians killed were the attackers.  We erred and regret the mistake.
