It keeps happening and HonestReporting keeps getting it corrected. Some media’s reluctance to acknowledge Jerusalem’s status as Israel’s capital leads to Tel Aviv repeatedly and falsely referred to as the center of Israeli governance and decision making.

Take The Sunday Times of London:

While Iran has certainly threatened Tel Aviv in the sense of launching a physical attack on the coastal city, this isn’t the context of the sub-header here.

If The Sunday Times is using the term “Tehran” to represent Iran’s government or state organs then Tel Aviv certainly isn’t the Israeli equivalent.

We pointed this out to The Sunday Times and, to its credit, an amendment was made within a short time:

While technically correct, it’s still disappointing that, like too many other media outlets, The Sunday Times still can’t bring itself to acknowledge reality: Jerusalem is Israel’s capital city.
