Vicious Agitprop From Yasmin Alibhai-Brown
November 19, 2012 14:30 by Simon PloskerI gave up taking Yasmin “some of my best friends are Jews” Alibhai-Brown seriously many years ago. Unfortunately she regularly pens poisonous pieces against Israel and the situation in Gaza has allowed her to unleash more bile.
In her latest piece in The Independent, YAB demonstrates her historical ignorance:
It is exactly 95 years since Lord Balfour, the then Foreign Secretary, informed Baron Rothschild that Britain would back a new Jewish state on Palestinian territory as demanded by Zionists, some of them terrorists who had attacked British targets.
A bizarre claim considering that there were no Zionist attacks on British targets in 1917. In fact, it was only after the end of World War Two that Jewish groups in Mandate Palestine started targeting the British military. And what does YAB mean by “Palestinian territory”? After all, there had never been any sovereign Palestinian state throughout history.
The historical revisionism doesn’t end there:
Britain had no legal right to the land it breezily handed over and has never apologised for its disastrous decision.
While the Balfour Declaration is an important landmark in the history of Zionism and the State of Israel, YAB has conveniently forgotten some key facts:
Britain was legally administering the territory under a League of Nations Mandate and it certainly did not “breezily hand over” the land, which was to be partitioned under a United Nations plan in 1947 – a plan accepted by the Jews and rejected by the Arabs.
Once YAB has moved beyond her warped view of history, the real attack on Israel begins:
But I would put this question to Israeli apologists too: why can’t they muster human sympathy for dead Palestinian babies and their howling parents? Don’t they feel anything for these innocents? This time, Palestinians have paid tenfold for those three Israeli lives. Israel’s uncontrolled, unmonitored, unaccountable power can overwhelm any resistors or enemies, or people unlucky enough to be born Palestinian.
To suggest that Israelis don’t care for the lives of innocent Palestinian babies is utterly disgusting. There is only one side in this conflict that goes out of its way to avoid civilian casualties while Hamas would celebrate were they to score a direct hit on an Israeli kindergarten, killing Israeli children.
YAB also implies that Palestinian deaths are an act of Israeli vengeance for the deaths of three Israelis in Kiryat Malachi. Once again her history is defective. Israel’s operation is not based on revenge but on preventing rocket attacks on her citizens that have been ongoing for many years.
While Yasmin Alibhai-Brown pays lip service to criticizing Arab regimes and Iran, it cannot hide her prejudice when it comes to Israel.

Welll, both love and hatred are above protocol. And Yasmin’s hatred of Israel motivates her to behave in a biased and non-professional way, take sides and not check her evidence; in the end, she makes a fool of herself, although her inaccuracies do much damage. If she is such a lover of little Arab children, why doesn’t she write about the atrocities committed in Syria (those children don’t count either)? If she loves innocent Arab children as much as she hates the Jews (Israelis for that matter), she should cry out for the injustices done to the Syrian civilian population. A little self-respect Ms Yasmin and the media you represent. Unless the stocks of self-respect and dignity are really d

Some fool obviously reads her drivel, or she wouldn’t still be allowed to pen her delusional pieces. The media propaganda against Israel is so disgusting. Yasmin is a typical example of Palestinian delusion and lies. Speak a lie often enough and fools will believe it. We need an onslought of truth. Maybe if it is spoken often enough someone will believe it. Palestinian terrorists are the ones placing their innocent children in harms way. They don’t even care about their own people, but use them as pawns to make Israel appear even worse to the world. I’m sickened by the hate, and the innocents that are caught in the crossfire. I am even more sickened by those that deliberately do it.

If the number of killed has been reversed, what would this person and others like her be saying? If the number had been reversed, would the New York Times (one of the “many” newspapers controled by Jews) headline the death of Israeli children?

I would think that the NYT would report the loss of the lives of 3 Palestinians due to the unwarranted aggressiveness of the IDF (with of course no mention that the IDF were defending the lives of 30 innocent Israeli Citizens from an unprovoked attack) and that the Hamas Terrorists were heroes defending …… some B.S. drivel ….. ) with NO mention that these COWARDLY freedom fighters had done so using children and their own people as human shields)

“But I would put this question to Israeli apologists too: why can’t they muster human sympathy for dead Palestinian babies and their howling parents? Don’t they feel anything for these innocents?”
The answer to that question was given a long time ago by the great war correspondent Martha Gellhorn:
“The fancy word we use nowadays is “empathy”–entering into the emotions of others. I had appreciated and admired individual refugees but realized I had felt no blanket empathy for the Palestinian refugees, and finally I knew why… It is hard to sorrow for those who only sorrow over themselves. It is difficult to pity the pitiless.”

What needs to happen is a movement like the reconcilation movement in South Africa in which divisions were acknowledged , stories shared , forgiveness granted and steps to unity taken.

LOL. How does one “reconcile” with a terrorist entity that wants nothing else but to utterly destroy Israel and have spelled it out loud and clear in their very charter?

Her distorted opinion still keep trapped in the bias against Israel against Western causes and values. Yasmin_Alibhai-Brown, The Independent and the British “stablishment”press can’t be impartial as they give up the truth to Liberal and Arab World thinking perfectly described before now as a “utterly vile” pattern. Must the Empire still be punished for his colonial times? Maybe this people prefer to live in tents in the middle of nowhere, enjoying exotic civilizations… so, why to live in Britain as ticks sucking insatiable in its host animal? Go back to your history, appreciate life and respect humanity Alibhai.

Israel was legally re-established via the UN with all nations voting – including all Islamic states. Israel was declared by the UN as the UNIQUE historical homeland of the Jews. Israel was a sovereign nation with the same name 3,000 years ago with Jerusalem her Capital and Hebron the birthplace of Judaism.
In contrast, the 23 Islamic regimes created 100 years ago never existed before, their borders made of oil deposits, all were created in secret with none voted at the UN.

The devil can only keep his ‘playthings’ as long as God allows them to live, remember the cursed fig tree, it withered and died, so shall be the end of those who curse Israel. There have been many over the centuries who have both cursed and denied God, their ends are recorded in scripture, so shall the ends of these ‘critics’ be recorded in news reports, maybe their demise will be reported as accurately as their ‘stories’ were.
