Shimon Peres said it as well. He added that the lesson for the world is Not to stand idly by when a holocaust happens. The Hagada also mentions that not only once but in every generation there are those standing up to destroy us but G-D saves us. (not the rest of the world) Sure USA joined the allies but only after Pearl Harbour. We are always in this alone, except for G-D.

Israel is blessed to have a Prime Minister like Netanyahu……if I had my way he would
be the President of the United States of America!
He had every right to mention Iran during the Holocaust Memorial.
The leader of Iran is just another Hitler.
GOD bless and keep Israel and Prime Minister Netanyahu!!!!

Give thanks that Prime Minister Netanyahu did mention Iran during the Holocaust Memorial. The world needs to be reminded constantly that Israel is surrounded by enemies, with even rockets being fired into their land. As has been written, “the only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.”

“the only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.” This is happening in the United States now, and the situation described in the above phrase is being confirmed. The good men at this moment are the Jews who still believe in Obama, who has admitted the Forgery of his Birth Certificate. He has also shown that he is a Muslim and is doing everything in his power to damge America and Israel.

Holocaust was only an episode in the long history of the genocide against Jewish people.
Chmielnicki exterminated a larger percentage of Jews in Ukraine and Eastern Poland than even Hitler. Before him, at different times, the French, Germans, Swill, English, Spanish, attempted to exterminated the Jewish nation.
This genocidal urge is every bit as strong today especially among the musloid nations. The main difference is that Jews have a state that can protect them from the nazoid musloids.

Dear viit, I was impressed with your reference to the mach shemo “c”, The Hitler of his day. From every holocaust period comes a positive story. The piece of garbage “c” used the railroad to travel from pogrom to pogrom. When the BERDICHEVER REBBE heard he and his scum were coming to Berdichev he told his kehilla not to come to the synagogue to say tehillim but to pick up axes, knives and any other weapons to meet the aggressors at the RR station. When chmie…. was informed of the Rabbi’s instructions he said this is just a small shtetel, not very important and passed it by. There was no pogrom in Berdichev in the Ukraine that day. Lessons to be learned!!

Since the Iranian leaders deny the Holocaust and call for another one against Israel, it was appropriate for Netanyahu to make the connection.

Yes I believe so. Unfortunately the Iranians seeking Nukes and if they obtain them they are highly likely to use them on Israel and her allies whether directly or by proxy. You can not let your guard down at any stage and allow the same thing to happen again, you have to always be on the front foot and proactive. Unfortunately extreme Islam is very similar to Nazi ideology so much so that it is hard to find differences. It was perfectly fine to be mentioned at a holocaust remembrance ceremony, the perfect time to be mentioned in fact as we do not want the present threat in Iran to materialize into a repeat of history.

Its not unreasonable, and he may have gone further, and mentioned how the US is like Britain before WW2 and still appeasing the dictator. So much so the US is forcing Israel to do what might be done by Iranian bombs – demolishing Jews houses. PM Netanyahu trained as an architect & told MIT professors he hoped to use his combined studies in management and architecture towards alleviating Israel’s acute housing shortage. http://web.mit.edu/newsoffice/1996/netanyahu-0605.html
You might wish to help PM Netanyahu save Jewish houses and sign http://www.yeshuv.org/mission/save-migron

Yes Prime Minister Netanyahu , words were very wise and very approriate. One message of the Holocaust is to never forget and let a tradgedy like this happen again. Iran has stated through its leader their hatred for Israel and their desire to destroy here. This is why it is approriate for the Prime Minister to mention Iran in a speech on Holacaust Rememberance Day.

Yes it was, and it was totally inappropriate for him to be criticized by the Simon Wiesenthal Center for doing so. Iran wants to destroy the Jewish homeland in the same way that Hitler wanted to destroy European Jewry. There has never been another Hitler since WWII, but that doesn’t mean there never could be.

It was extremely apt for Binyamin Netanyahu mention the Iranian threat towards Israel in his Holocaust memorial speech because no-one wants to see another holocaust against Israel and the Jewish people – or any other group. Haman was the first to attempt to annihilate the Jewish people and the Haman spirit was upon Adolf Hitler. It now rests on Ahmadinajad. We cannot and must not ignore his threats, or his lies. He is trying to pull the wool over the eyes of the world by saying that they are only intending to use nuclear power in an innocent way. But we know his intent is to wipe Israel ff the map. We must not let this matter drop, but keep telling everyone about the grim reality of Ahmadinajad’s intent. Netanyahu chose his moment well.

We were at Birkenau on Yom Hashoah. Sitting there during the ceremony, listening to the stories survivors told, hearing what the children of the Holocaust said about family members lost in the flames of hell, brought home to us the threats posed against the Jews. In that context, PM Netanyahu was fully justified in talking about the threat from Iran. Never again!

Less we forget, the holocaust occured lagely because Jews were uaarmed, and could not believe that as good citizens they would be targeted.Alas, they were wrong.Jewish history is filled with ,massecres, pogroms, genocides, ane extermination. And yet we work for a better day.Jewish survival depends on being in touch with reality, not dreams.Netanyahu was right to compare the holcaust to todays existenial threat from Iran.Never Again!

It is definitely right of Mr. Netanyahu to use the Holocaust Remembrance ceremony, because Iran’s Ahmadinejad believes the Holocaust never happened. So He wants to create a Holocaust. Israel MUST defend itself, and do the initiative….eliminate the nuclear works of Iran .

Netanyahu is not taking chances with Iran. Do we think they would be better behaved than the Nazis?
He might also mention that Iran doesn’t need nuclear fuel any more (that’s why they are enriching Uranium, right?), because wind and solar is actually cheaper, once you remove subsidies. Especially, it would be cheaper by far if you consider it would also lift economic sanctions.

What does “never again” mean if one cannot prevent a future holocaust? Iran wants to play the role of Germany and Hitler. Holocaust memorial day is the ideal occasion for raising this issue.

You’re damn right it was appropriate! Only a ‘Can’t we all just get along’ left-wing, believer in a Utopia without G-d, liberal, ass-bite jack-ass, who doesn’t know where feces go when they flush a toilet, thinks differently.

Sure. Holocaust. From the Greek: to burn live and whole. “When the temperatures in Tel-Aviv living rooms are a thousand degrees centigrade.” Some Iranian “moderate” said that. Of course it was “appropriate.”
Come to think of it, I’m getting sick of the thought police’s constant use of the word “appropriate” and “acceptable” along with their negative forms. It’s all getting to sound like a kindergarten to me. That and “iconic” can go down the drain with them too.
