I think Israel biggest challenge this year are the elections, who will get into the Knesset to challenge Netanyahu when he makes decisions that are detrimental to Israel; the Iran issue, Syria, “Palestinian issue”, America pressuring Israel to go back to the table to negotiate a “just” settlement, Hamas trying to take over the West Bank, Egypt and Lebanon challenging Israel, as well Gaza issue creeping up. Israel will have to be on their toes, stay strong and determined not to be pushed into a corner. They will have to show faith and belief in their true destiny. Hashem gave us this land, it belongs to us and we have to believe that in the end we will overcome all our obstacles.

        Malka I applaud your passion.
G-d gave us brains to reason. Emotions to feel. A mouth to persuade. And – if need be – hands to fight.
In 1967 the world saw Israel as David fighting Goliath. The tables have turned.
Israel is now always shown via IDF soldiers confronted by children or women.
Faked images of Palestinian wounded flash around the world in a nanosecond.
And “information poor” people react to what they see and feel..no facts necessary.
The road back is doable. But it takes fight. Constant battle.
        Bless this blog.
But we must get our act toether.
Get prepared. Get out and fight for what Israel really is.
G-d does not do the heavy lifting.
He expects us to do that. Shalom

Our biggest challenge is within us – will we unify and have an honest goverment that is not sucking up to the Arabs, US or to Europe. Will we be able to rid ourselves of the left leaning courts and supreme court that go by the lies of ‘peace now’ (one of our worst enemies) so that there will be justice. Are we capable of abondining the galut mentality so that we feel and know within ourselves that we have a right to be here, a right live in our country withour a divided Jeruslaem, a divided Yehuda and Shomron. Will we have an army that is not at the beck and call of the government to enforce its’ outlandish decisions to expel people from the homes at the whim and cry of our enemy. cont’d

There is a confluence of events transpiring among all of those (and other) nations that are all aimed at the destruction of God’s Chosen people. It should not come as a surprise because the Scriptures have foretold them for millenia, history has recorded them and current events declare them.
The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob is about to re-visit this blue orb, put an end to satan’s term and fulfill a the prophecies in His word. His judgements on this wicked and evil world are about to begin.

Israel has become virtually isolated. It has no friends it can count on among the major nations other than the US. Even as to the US, the policy of the Obama administration to create distance between Israel and the US has worsened Israel’s situation by emboldening the Palestinians to take unilateral actions to obtain status as a nation without recognizing Israel and entering into a peace treaty. The mainstream press is slanting the presentation of facts and opinion more and more against Israel. Many left wing Jews are openly supporting the Arab viewpoint that the Jewish state is illegitimate, a view also held by many Europeans. All of this while antisemitism is growing.

Follow and join fighters like Pamela Gellar or Brigitte Gabriel. These brave, beautiful women have guts and do not put up with Islamo-fascist lies or the dangerous Left.

Israel has allowed herself to be defined by her enemies including Obama. That is exactly what Obama did to Romney.”Killed that woman; tax cheat; hates women; dog hater” That stuff sticks!

Use Simon Sinek(www.TED.com) approach to inspire others Appeal to emotions not logic. Logic alone loses. I have a dream trumps I have a plan.

    Answer why Israel exists.
We must 1st convince leftist American Jews to stop suppoorting the hate filled left.
This is not Nazi Germany..yet. BTW, Nazis were feftists. Oh.you knew that?

The biggest problem for Israel is for the real truth to come out, the facts about the area they now live in. The facts about the original Balfour agreement & who was really supposed to get what, The truth about Israel being the only fully Democratic country in the Middle East & the fact that Arabs & other groups get full rights in Israel & even have there own political parties. The truth about the lies constantly told about Israel by the so called Palestinians, the truth about this whole big sorry mess made & manipulated by the UN & its meddling Countries. Until all the truths come out & all are made aware of these truths & I mean ALL made aware, nothing will or can be sorted out.

The centrifuges are spinning. concentrating U235 More of the centrifuges are deep under ground. Iran is also chemically removing Plutonium. They already have many means of delivery.
Israel’s biggest problem is the threat of annihilation by Iran.

I feel the biggest challenges for Israel in 2013 are : 1) Attacks from terrorist groups like Hamas , Hezbollah and the Muslim Brotherhood. , 2) Nuclear threats from Iran , 3) Problems with security due to lax security in Egypt which causes goods to be smuggled into Gaza . 4) Attacks from the Gaza Strip by PLO, 5) Economic challenges and 6) Resolutions and policies from the United Nations.

I wish your comments were true.
Ask Cuban parents that came here to escape the evil leftist Castro why their children supported Obama – who works to undermine individual success.

The young & far too many others have been taught for decades in US schools that spew hatred for the West..even America definitely for Israel. I used to teach in gradschool. Had to hide many of my views.
The truth about Israel’s history means a lot to u and me. Not to emotional voters that wld rather watch Letterman than read a news blog.
Do agree info abt her diverse, democratic, amazing existence TODAY might matter.
What she contributes to the world might. We must fight against the Left that supports her demise

M Boxenbaum, I know that what you say is correct & the way things are in this world what I posted will never happen, the majority of the populations of this planet are so well brainwashed by the powers that be, that as time goes by we have less & less chance of the real truth ever surfacing. Its all so sad as the way things are being played out, the powers that be will get there dream & that is what is wrote on the Georgia Guidestones. The saddest part is that the real truth has been & is hidden & only but a few have found it & the longer tie goes by the fewer will continue to find it,the fact is that the time is coming that the last ever person to find the real truth will soon be here.

Israel (and the United States can) as they have been doing, continue to play Defense vs Islamic aggression or they can, at long last, start to openly and directly confront Islam as incompatible with civilized life. One way to do this would be to draw a distinction between the religion and the broad mass of Muslims with the phrase: Good Person, Bad Muslim – Bad person, Good Muslim. In other words make it clear, as it should long since have been obvious, that Islam turns otherwise ordinary human beings into violent fanatics (good Muslims), but if they are ordinary, decent people, they are, in escapably, bad Muslims.

To live with the fact that Israel has human rights violations and a government that does not want to acknowledge that we want to support Israel but it is becoming more uncomfortable to do so and will not listen to what Jews in the Diaspora are saying. We are uncomfortable.

Israel also has an internal challenge it should address:

Sorry but I didn’t finish my previous comment:
    The internal challenge includes:
Divisions between the different sects: Orthodox, Conservative, reformed, Secular etc
and how we come together. It seems totally unJewish not to let non-Orthodox rabbis marry couples and restrict other rabbinic activities
When Moses was called to Mt. Sinai, he was told to gather ALL THE PEOPLE. No restrictions, no discrimination!
