What incitement?

PA President Mahmoud Abbas told Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice that the Palestinian media no longer incites against Israel. But Palestinian Media Watch begs to differ, with a month’s worth of documentation.

Somehow I get the feeling that Condolezza is going to swallow that lie whole.
By the way, maybe a campaign should be started just to remind her what it’s really like? Maybe send a lot of mail with written links to resources and various links to PMW.co.il, maybe something like this -
“Dear Condoleezza Rice, I write to you as a Member of HonestReporting.com, and I would to refute the outrageous, self-serving lie served to you by Palestinian Prime Minister Mahmoud Abbas. PMW.co.il provides proof to contradict his claims on a near-daily basis. Hatred, incitement, and racism continues in Palestinian media, and has in no way decreased. I trust that you will take an interest in my point and not believe everything you’re told.
Sincerely, Myreal Name”
So, how about it?

A few corrections to the above being “PMW.org.il” instead of “PMW.org.il” and “I would like to refute…” instead of “I would to refute…”

Condolezza isn’t going to swallow anything. She knows exactly where Israel stands and any statements she makes that might sound to the contrary are for consumption on the Palestinian street.

“She knows exactly where Israel stands and any statements she makes that might sound to the contrary are for consumption on the Palestinian street.”
And everybody else in the area.
Are people so blind as to think that the nuances are only perceived by the crowd they are aimed at?
Everyone of the statements made over the past month has been duly noted and acted on by Hezbollah, the Syrians, the Egyptians and of course those fighting in Iraq with Hezbollah and Palestinian knowhow.
The region is now of the opinion that the resolve is fading and publicly permitting such lies to stand just reinforces the impression.
The Palestinians are also watching to see what the Egyptians are spewing out and getting away with.
After all Bush’s rhetoric of the past there is now a turnabout in what appeared to be explicit, and the feeling is that there is a reluctance to “walk the walk”.
