Since 1949, Jerusalem has been the capital of Israel. However, 73 years later, some media outlets and news commentators still prefer to refer to Tel Aviv as the seat of Israel’s government, thereby disregarding the Jewish state’s right to determine its capital. 

This is why we called the Associated Press out for a recent article that referred to Tel Aviv as the seat of Israel’s decision-making:

After HonestReporting reached out to the AP, the article was updated to remove the reference to Tel Aviv as the home of Israel’s government and the following correction issued:

This story has been corrected to show that the Israeli government isn’t based in Tel Aviv.
