Anti-Israel activists are holding a bicycle ride on Sunday to intimidate and ultimately expel Jewish businesses from Philadelphia, according to social media posts by organizers.

Philly Bike On Your Left’s “Great Ride of Return” is set to target the businesses Huda, Schlesinger’s, Goldie, Kfar Cafe, MacMart, and Dizengoff due to their raising of funds for supposed ties to Israel, including fundraisers for those impacted by the October 7 Massacre and for advancing Israeli cuisine.

“No business for Zionists! These Zionist establishments must go! Not in our city,” read an October 30 Instagram post. “Ride around Rittenhouse with us as we show these Zio business owners that we see them for the disgusting humans they are.”

The group shared an April 2025 post by one of the collaborators, Keep Zionism out of Philadelphia, explaining the animosity toward several of the restaurants. The organization contended that they were not targeting the businesses because they were Jewish, but because some had sent “money to an occupying ethnostate that is carrying out a brutal genocide against the land’s native population.”

The group highlighted that in the wake of the October 7 Massacre, Huda had raised funds to support the victims and families of the attack, while Schlesinger’s had raised funds for the Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia’s Philly Stands with Israel Fund. According to its website, the fund was aimed toward humanitarian relief and recovery efforts.

Another collaborator called Boycott CookNSolo explained in a March 2 social media post that it was targeting the restaurant group of the same name because it supposedly marketed Levantine and regional cuisine as Israeli and promoted Israeli culture. Further, the group raised funds for United Hatzalah and hosted fundraising dinners for pro-Israel politicians. The activists also took issue with their use of Israeli products.

The Jewish Federation, StandWithUs, Anti-Defamation League Philadelphia, and American Jewish Committee Philadelphia called on residents to support the local businesses, noting that the boycott ride fell on the Kristallnacht anniversary eve.

“This is antisemitism. It is Jew-Hatred, plain and simple,” read the Monday joint statement. “Marking businesses for removal from Philadelphia is an attempt to intimidate, marginalize and exclude members of the Jewish community from the economic and civic life of our city. No business should be targeted because of the identity, heritage or perceived political beliefs of its owners.”

Huda shared an Instagram story calling on locals to support Jewish businesses with a community food crawl to counter the boycott.
