CNN has published a feature looking forward to “9 of the best attractions opening in 2016“:
From America’s biggest modern art museum to the latest Disney theme park, 2016 is primed to be a great year for global tourists in search of the next big thing.
The Middle East will get its most advanced snow park in Doha.
“Hunger Games” fans will step into the shoes of Katniss Everdeen in Dubai.
And a life-sized replica of Noah’s Ark will rise above the bluegrass meadows of northern Kentucky to become the planet’s largest wooden structure.
A look at these and more on our cultural calendar for 2016, as we highlight some of the most anticipated attractions scheduled to open around the globe.
None of the attractions featured, such as Shanghai Disneyland, a soccer museum in Zurich, or an art museum in San Francisco are in any way political. Except for one:
HonestReporting Managing Editor Simon Plosker comments:
Just the opening date alone is an indicator of just how political this museum is and how the publicity surrounding its inauguration will undoubtedly be used to delegitimize Israel’s creation.
In a feature on cultural attractions, CNN has no business including the Palestinian Museum. Once again CNN has demonstrated its sympathies towards the Palestinian narrative to Israel’s detriment.
Following the recent inclusion of a map that replaced Israel with “Palestina” in a CNN Money article, it looks like CNN can’t help spreading Palestinian propaganda even in the most benign places.
