1. Israel arrested the Palestinian Authority’s Jerusalem Governor and a second PA official.

According to Reuters, Governor Adnan Gheith and Jihad Al-Faqeeh, the PA’s head of intelligence in Jerusalem, are suspected of involvement in the abduction of a Palestinian man who the PA claims facilitated the sale of eastern Jerusalem property to Jews. That individual, whose name has not been released, is an Israeli-American national.

2. AP takes a closer look at what the Jamal Khashoggi affair means for the White House’s Mideast peace plans. President Donald Trump was counting on Saudis to help sell his “deal of the century” to the Arab world. But Riyadh’s changing explanations for the Khashoggi’s death in their Istanbul consulate make Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman increasingly radioactive.

3. The IDF uncovered a Hezbollah outpost masquerading as part of a fictitious environmental non-governmental organization. The Times of Israel writes:

The alleged Hezbollah observation post was located in the Lebanese town of Aadaysit Marjaayoun, less than a kilometer from the border and from the Israeli community of Misgav Am, according to the officer, who spoke on condition of anonymity.
