HonestReporting hosted thirty participants of the Israel Government Fellows program at our Jerusalem headquarters. The Israel Government Fellows program is a unique leadership program, endorsed by the Office of the Prime Minister of Israel. Participants work within the Israeli government system, attend seminars with some of the leading figures in Israeli political and public life, and meet other young Jewish leaders from around the world.
The Fellows enjoyed refreshments on HR’s panoramic rooftop deck overlooking Jerusalem before hearing from HR’s Managing Editor Simon Plosker who explained the types of media bias HonestReporting looks for and how the media influences perceptions of Israel on the world stage. Simon also outlined the reasons behind the bias and how these could be addressed.

It was a privilege for HonestReporting to host the participants of such a high-level program. The Israel Government Fellows will undoubtedly be future leaders in both their own Jewish communities and Israel itself. We are sure that we have contributed to their understanding of the importance of media bias and how they can make a positive impact for Israel.
