Memo to BBC: Goldstone Calls Casualty Count Into Question

April 3, 2011 12:41 by

Leave it to the BBC to stand by Gaza casualty figures that Judge Goldstone himself called into question on Friday.

Israel’s lack of cooperation with our investigation meant that we were not able to corroborate how many Gazans killed were civilians and how many were combatants. The Israeli military’s numbers have turned out to be similar to those recently furnished by Hamas (although Hamas may have reason to inflate the number of its combatants).

I assume Goldstone’s referring to Hamas conceding that 600-700 people — mostly armed combatants — died during Operation Cast Lead.

Somebody tell the BBC. Get a load of this photo caption:

Honest Reporting should highlight the blatant bias of the leftist NY Times to all Jewish news organizations around the world. Whether these organizations do something or not, the fact has to be broadcast. HR should encourage all these Jewish organizations to either publish editorials about this hypocracy in their news outlets or demand that they collectively purchase and place a full page ad in the NY Times demanding an apology for refusing to publish Richard Goldstone’s statements. We should not let the NY Times get away using the double standard of selective journalism when it claims to be reporting “all the news that’s fit to print”.
