Reuters Whitewashes Arafat

July 5, 2012 11:09 by

Digging up Yasser Arafat’s body and exhuming file photos of the terror boss have a lot in common. You can’t help but feel dirty looking at the results.

So if you want a sanitized  photo essay of the “life and legacy of  Yasser Arafat,” Reuters is for you.

Iconic images feature the PLO’s top dog with Mother Theresa, Nelson Mandela, Pope John Paul II, at the White House, and flashing his fingers in a V.

Of course, there are other facets to the Arafat legacy which the Reuters staff left out. Images of Arafat with Saddam Hussein, Ayatollah Khomeini, and Hamas founder Sheikh Yassin would give a fuller, more balanced picture.

They just don’t fit with Reuters’s cleaner memories.

This horrible little person destroyed the Palestinian cause and used it to extract
$8,000,000,000 from their future real and in some cases, worthy goals.
He is the one who built the walls and kept these people from having a viable future.
They no longer are involved with the tourist trade. A trade that has existed for
thousands of years. He, being an Egyptian, had no real ties to these people.
He used them for his own misshapen ego fulfillment…

Re: The Life & Legacy of Yaaser Arafat

    Reuters,

Is this some kind of bad joke?
Where are all the pictures of Arafat with the monsters of this world – Khomeini, Sadam Hussein, Sheik Yassin (founder of Hamas).
Where the pictures of bombed busses and restaurants producing hundreds of fatalities and thousands of casualties all inspired and led by this ‘world leader of terrorism’.
Half the facts does not tell half the story, it misrepresents the story completely.

He achieved nothing, neither for his people nor humanity.
His only achievement – death and destruction.
This Arafat should be defamed, not acclaimed!

I look forward to your correction of this stain on Reuters reporting.
