Palestinian developer Bashar al-Masri seeks to build a new Palestinian city. Listen to this astonishing comment he made to NPR’s Morning Edition:
“This is the first new town since probably the Romans. This is the first planned community that I can think of in hundreds, if not thousands, of years.”
You’d think people who claim to be indigenous to the land from “time immemorial” would have built up some communities in the past 2,000 years.
