According to an Arab media report, Hamas is ready to cede control of Gaza to the PA to facilitate dialogue among rival factions.
If true, this comes in the context of Saudi and Egyptian efforts to broker a Hamas-Fatah reconciliation. But are they further undermining Abbas (and Annapolis) instead?
UPDATE Dec. 11: Hamas denies any intention to give up power for dialogue. This doesn’t change the fact that the Saudis and Egyptians are hedging their bets and quietly dealing with Hamas.
