* Mahmoud Abbas dismissed the Mufti of Jerusalem, Sheik Ikremah Sabri. The Jerusalem Post writes:
According to the source, Sabri appeared to support the Hamas government in its power struggle with Abbas and his Fatah party. “The mufti is appointed by the president, not the government. Therefore, he must represent the president alone,” the source explained.
* The Daily Telegraph talked to an Al-Aqsa Brigades commander vowing to send “human mines” to fight an expected IDF incursion into the northern Gaza Strip.
