Biography
Isi Leibler is a veteran international Jewish leader.
A former head of the Australian Jewish community from 1978- 1995 and prominent businessman, Leibler was actively involved in international politics ranging from a major leadership role in the international movement for Soviet Jewry to developing relations with China and India prior to the establishment of diplomatic relations with Israel.
In 2007 he was appointed chairman of the Diaspora Commission at the Jerusalem Center for Public Affairs.
Isi Leibler is a prolific writer on Jewish affairs, has written a number of books and publishes a weekly column in the Jerusalem Post and Yisrael Hayom, the Hebrew daily.
Born in Belgium in 1934, Leibler grew up in Australia and made aliya to Jerusalem in 1999
