Prada’s new campaign with Saint Levant is raising serious questions about what the brand is willing to platform.
The luxury fashion house recently promoted the musician, whose real name is Marwan Abdelhamid, wearing a pendant shaped like “historic Palestine.” The design shows the entire territory from the Jordan River to the Mediterranean Sea, leaving no room for Israel.
For Saint Levant, this was not an accidental accessory. His public image has long been tied to anti-Israel activism, and his rhetoric has gone far beyond political criticism. In 2024, after Israeli soccer fans were attacked in Amsterdam, he publicly praised those responsible from the stage.
That history makes Prada’s decision impossible to dismiss as simple styling.
A global fashion brand with millions of followers does not just showcase clothing. It amplifies messages. In this case, Prada gave visibility to a figure wearing a symbol that denies Israel’s existence while ignoring his record of glorifying violence against Israelis.
Whether this was negligence or a deliberate choice, the result is the same: Prada put an Israel-erasing message in front of a global audience.
And so far, the brand’s silence has only made the backlash louder.
