“I will survive” are words that aptly describe the Jewish nation.
It is also the title of disco legend Gloria Gaynor’s biggest hit. And next spring, she will belt it out again in Tel Aviv.
Gaynor is scheduled to perform at Tel Aviv’s Heichal Hatarbut on April 13, 2027, in her first Israeli concert in more than a decade.

She will be accompanied by a 10-piece band for a one-night show featuring hits from across her five-decade career.
This will not be Gloria’s first time performing in Israel. She last took an Israeli stage in 2015 – a trip that included a visit with former Israeli President Shimon Peres z”l, for whom she sang a Hebrew prayer.
The following year, Gaynor received the Martin Luther King Jr. Award, presented annually by the Consulate-General of Israel in New York. At the time, she made her affection for the Jewish state unmistakably clear:
Nearly half a century after “I Will Survive” became a global anthem of resilience, Gaynor’s return to Israel carries a meaning that goes beyond nostalgia.
At a time when artists face intense pressure from the anti-Israel boycott movement, her return is a celebration of music, solidarity, and the enduring spirit of the Jewish people.
And when she takes the stage in Tel Aviv, her most famous anthem will ring out as more than just a disco classic.
It will serve as a reminder of something the Jewish people have demonstrated time and again throughout history.
We will survive.
