In a recent Newsweek article, PA President Mahmoud Abbas was asked about the next step in the peace process. He replied with a litany of complaints against Israel, including this:

We talked about prisoners, and they didn’t release any.

It seems Mr. Abbas has a short memory:
December 2004 – 159 prisoners released
February 2005 – 500 prisoners released
June 2005 – 398 prisoners released
