Now that we can see who some of the no-longer anonymous Wiki Whacky Editors are, we’re finding out that some of them are journalists.
According to Biased BBC, employees at the Beeb are responsible for some 7,000 anonymous edits, including one page in which the word “terrorists” was revised to “freedom fighters.” On another page, a BBC employee inappropriately changed President Bush’s middle name.
Al-Jazeera staff was just as guilty, though nowhere near the Beeb’s scale. LGF found one of their employees edited a page about Israel to state:
The Jews have stolen the land of the Palestinians.
