With American rapper Macklemore‘s “Free Palestine Tour” getting quite a bit of news coverage, another musician has made the news for being on the other side of history.
The right side.
And unlike Macklemore, this artist is a bona fide global icon with four decades of hits behind him.
I am, of course, referring to Boy George, who touched down in Israel yesterday ahead of his two sold-out Tel Aviv concerts.
And his presence here means more than just another international star coming to perform. He has stood by Israel despite threats and professional blowback, releasing We Will Dance Again after being deeply affected by the October 7 Nova massacre. One of his two concerts will even be dedicated to the Nova community and their families.
Welcome to #Israel🇮🇱 @BoyGeorge!

Boy George has wasted no time enjoying the sights and sounds:
Or trolling Macklemore:
Not all heroes wear capes. Some wear mascara.
