A short four paragraph CNN piece on a terror attack at a checkpoint is missing one vital piece of information. See if you can spot it:
A knife-wielding woman who tried to attack a security checkpoint in the West Bank was shot by guards, the Israel Defense Ministry said.
“A woman terrorist arrived at the checkpoint located on Route 55 next to Alfei Menashe holding a knife,” a Defense Ministry statement said.
Alfei Menashe is an Israeli settlement in the northern West Bank, west of Nablus.
“Security guards at the checkpoint called her to stop a few times, and when she didn’t, they fired at her and neutralized the threat,” the statement said.
If you haven’t already figured it out, ask yourself who the “knife-wielding woman” is.
A clue: The missing word begins with the letter “P.”

Strange, this woman arrived with a knife. Really, watch the video, she arrived, engaged the single gard (not guards) in conversation, then drew a large knife and tried to kill him. Yes it was a stabbing, non the less this PALISTINIAN terrorist was attempting murder. Get it right CNN.
As much as I hate CNN, they are simply quoting the IDF words. So if IDF spokesman omitted the P word, so would they. IDF needs to training in how to report an incident to the world media. We keep shooting ourselves in the foot with our own inability to truely represent our story. This one is not on CNN… 🙁
CNN broadcasts to the Arab world and they will pull advertising if the P word is used
The whole concept of P is flawed so the missing word really begins with a A
The thing is, CNN never seems to identify the perpetrators but is quick to vilify Israel’s role.
After so many times reporting this kind of attacks, it’s now so automatic that everyone knows that only Palestinians are performing these attacks.
Maybe you like to suggest that’s the reason? Or maybe you want us to think that the CNN has a political agenda?
This kind of reporting with “missing additional information and name calling” happens everywhere. I’m sure if the Jerusalem Post reports something happening for example in Belgium, they would also not be perfect and might ‘drop’ some details here and there, on purpose or not.
What´s incredible it´s the lack of training of the security person checking her paperwork, if you are in the US and you reach into a bag or your pockets in front of them the police will immediately point their gun at you and warn you to show both hands. CNN´s terrible coverage, well, I am kind of used to that anyways.
There are two types of people who watch and read this:
1) people with brains who know it’s another Arab terrorist trying to murder Jew for being a Jew
2) nasty anti semitic lefties, islamists, Communists, fascist etc., who will say look at the racist Jews regardless of the context
This is a mountain out of a molehill here.
Yes, Palestinian is not a word applied to a terrorist. BUT, if Israel acts to protect itself from Palestinian violence the media jump to it in castigating Israel. But then again we all know this.
