CUPE’s Coup

While British academics voted today to boycott Israel, a Canadian union entered the fray. The National Post reports that the Ontario chapter of the Canadian Union of Public Employees came out in support of boycotting Israel too:

“This is not an attack on Jewish people. It’s [an objection to] the state of Israel’s policies on Palestinians,” Mr. Ryan said yesterday. “They say they are creating an independent state but they’re not giving them the tools to do that.”
