We believe we must agree to disagree, we strive to accurately and fairly report the news. Our headline: “Tel Aviv shooting: Well-dressed men open fire at popular food market” refers to reports in the Israeli media, citing witnesses and emergency workers who said the two shooters were dressed in smart attire, white shirts, ties, jackets and black pants. Be assured we sent your message to our editors.

Fairfax Media outlets the Sydney Morning Herald and The Age both republished a Washington Post article on the Tel Aviv terrorist attack with one of the worst headlines we have seen so far. They chose not to describe the terrorists as murderers, assailants, attackers, or even militants. No, they decided that the most accurate way to describe them was based on what they wore:
Please let them know how unacceptable such an outrageous headline is and demand that it be changed. Contact the Sydney Morning Herald or The Age.
