Alexander, Former Regional Director of Operations for AIPAC, to Enhance HonestReporting’s Influence and Expand Its Reach in the United States
New York, NY – September 15, 2022. The Board of Directors of HonestReporting, the U.S. and Israel-based nonprofit dedicated to helping ensure truth and integrity in the media as it relates to Israel, is pleased to announce the appointment of Jacki Alexander as its new Global CEO. Ms. Alexander comes to us after 15 years at AIPAC, where she served most recently as the Southern States Regional Director of Operations. She and Gil Hoffman, HonestReporting’s new Israel-based Executive Director and Executive Editor and former chief political correspondent for the Jerusalem Post, will leverage their combined 40+ years of experience in Israel advocacy and news reporting to expand the organization’s reach and impact.
“With the rise of social media, sources for news consumption have expanded while transparency surrounding those sources has become increasingly opaque. As a result, there has been incredible growth in the need for HonestReporting’s media accuracy and journalist support services,” said HonestReporting’s Chairman of the Board, Robert Blum.
“From its inception, HonestReporting has communicated primarily from its offices in Israel. In an age where the footprint of traditional journalists based in Israel is shrinking, the board recognized the need to develop our on-the-ground capabilities in the U.S.” Blum explained. “We are ecstatic that we were able to obtain someone of Jacki’s caliber. She will lead the organization, and serve as the driving force behind our strategic direction and growth.”

She earned an MSc in the History of International Relations from the London School of Economics, and a BA in History and Religious Studies. Raised in a Zionist household with parents who were active in Jewish communal life, Ms. Alexander has carried on her family’s legacy of Jewish and pro-Israel advocacy in both her personal and professional lives.
