2. SUCCESS: Thomson Reuters Foundation Strips Antisemitic Palestinian Journalist of Award Following HonestReporting Exposé of Pro-Hitler Posts
In several Facebook posts uncovered by HonestReporting, Palestinian journalist Shatha Hammad signed off her comments using the nickname “Hitler” and joked that she was “in agreement” with the Nazi leader who oversaw the mass extermination of six million Jews during the Holocaust.
Less than 48 hours after we revealed Hammad’s violent and antisemitic posts, the Thomson Reuters Foundation stripped her of a prestigious journalism prize.

On August 11, HonestReporting put a spotlight on the violent and antisemitic social media history of Fady Hanona, a freelance producer and fixer who was credited by The New York Times in multiple stories. “I don’t accept a Jew, Israeli or Zionist, or anyone else who speaks Hebrew. I’m with killing them wherever they are: children, elderly people, and soldiers,” Hanona had said.
