It is with a heavy heart that Gary Kenzer, our North American Executive Director, has announced his impending retirement, effective end of November. Over the past ten years, Gary has given talks in 35 states, 3 provinces in Canada, in hundreds of synagogues, churches and community clubs, meeting with and addressing hundreds of people speaking up for fair news coverage of Israel and supporting our US-based community through our programs.
In the coming weeks, Gary will be working to transfer our Development and Community Event work to our New York office, under the leadership of Julie Hazan before undertaking his plans for the near term, involving himself with worthy local professional and communal welfare efforts in his home town.
Gary expressed his appreciation for his colleagues and stated:
I feel privileged to have witnessed, and share a role in such incredible growth of the organization during my tenure and feel assured that HonestReporting will continue going from strength to strength in the service of fair media coverage for Israel.
