HR Prompts West Bank Rocket Correction

In an interview with Israeli soccer player Tomer Hemed, The Independent accidentally states that Palestinian rockets were fired from the West Bank rather than Gaza.

HR Prompts West Bank Rocket Correction

Israel traveled to Scotland last week for a significant soccer match. A 3-2 loss was not the desired result. Some positive coverage did, however, find its way into the UK press, including a feature interview in The Independent with Israeli national team player Tomer Hemed.

While there was nothing wrong with the interview itself, we did spot the following error:

Of course the rockets were directed from Gaza and not the West Bank.

We notified The Independent of the error, which was corrected shortly after.
