1. Mahmoud Abbas moves against Palestinian media incitement — sort of.

2. There’s heavy interest in MK Ayman Odeh’s upcoming US visit because it’s the first time a prominent Israeli Arab is holding diplomatic meetings. YNet reports that Odeh, chairman of the Arab Joint List party, is expected to meet with officials from the White House, Congress, State Dept., UN ambassadors, activists, and, of course, the American press.
He’ll give interviews and speak with management, reporters, and pundits at the the Washington Post, the New York Times, the New Yorker, the Nation, and the Huffington Post.
Odeh was recently heckled on live TV by Nazareth Mayor Ali Salem. The mayor blamed Odeh for fanning Israeli-Arab incitement and harming Nazareth businesses as Jews avoid the Arab town.
3. A Hungarian mayor apologized after his comments blaming Israel for the Paris terror attacks were leaked to the media.
Speaking during a November 16 council meeting over the expansion of a nearby refugee camp, Szentgotthárd Mayor Gábor Huszár said: “Everyone should just take my word for it. What happened in Paris is clear evidence that certain business circles, dare I say business circles which are likely backed by the Jewish state, are trying to pit Christian Europe against the Muslims.”

Israel and the Intifada
• Israeli police thwarted two Palestinian stabbing attacks this morning, one at the Gush Etziyon Junction, the other at the settlement of Einav, in the northern West Bank. Both were shot by nearby security personnel, prompting this unfortunate headline from The Australian.
• Google denies it is joining up with Israel to monitor Palestinian incitement on YouTube
• Over at the UN climate change conference in Paris, Abbas claimed Israel was carrying out ecological attacks.
“Our resources are being usurped, our trees are being uprooted, our agriculture is being destroyed,” Abbas claimed, before urging world leaders to protect Palestinians from Israel.
By the way, French police are using an advanced Israeli-made surveillance balloon to help secure the climate change summit.

• A few weeks ago, Alan Dershowitz won an Oxford Union debate over BDS. Oxford finally posted the video of the debate.
• The PA instructed West Bank municipalities to tone down Christmas celebrations “following the deaths of dozens of Palestinians since mid-September.” Reporters seeing low-key festivities a few weeks from now will blame Israel for ruining the holiday cheer.
• During an Australian Senate hearing, Senator Eric Abetz grilled ABC News director Mark Scott on a number of issues, including correspondent Sophie McNeill’s coverage of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Abetz specifically cited a Bethlehem dispatch McNeill filed in October.
• The National Women’s Studies Association voted to join the anti-Israel Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions movement (BDS).
