IfjThe International Federation of Journalists is protesting the IDF’s shooting of Imad Ghanem, a cameraman for Hamas TV. But after seeing the army’s response in AP coverage, it’s hard to have too much sympathy for Ghanem:

Leibowitch said the cameraman was a legitimate target because he was with the Hamas gunmen firing at Israeli forces, was separated from other journalists covering the clash, and could have been carrying a weapon.

Last year, several Israeli journalists quit the same IFJ when the media rights organization criticized Israeli air strikes on Hezbollah’s Al-Manar TV. Here’s why the IFJ’s reasoning is flawed.
