Pingpong_1Israel was snubbed in international competition again—this time at the World Table Tennis Championships in Shanghai. YNet reports that Ayatollah Ashraf of Egypt refused to show up for a first-round match against Israeli Marina Kravechenko. Kravechenko won by default, but lost her second-round match against an Austrian competitor. The incident is reminiscent of a similar Iranian snub at last year’s Olympics.
