It’s been over 25 years since I left the UK and moved to Israel. But it still hurts to see the country of my birth turning against my home.
Today, British prime ministers come and go almost as frequently as London buses. I lived most of my formative years in London under Margaret Thatcher and Tony Blair, both leaders who, even in times of disagreement with Israel, still instinctively got what the Jewish state stood for.
Britain and Israel were friends and allies. We shared common values.
And now?
I feel disappointment. Frustration. Anger.
I did reply directly to UK Foreign Secretary Ed Miliband on X.
But it’s hard to keep my British stiff upper lip right now.
Even if you were standing up "for what is right" – which you blatantly aren't – you just aren't very smart.
