The Evening Standard reports that London’s King Fahad Academy has been using photocopied material from textbooks thought to have been shredded. What was wrong with the material in the first place?

. . . pupils as young as five were being taught by rote from Arabic textbooks describing Jews as “monkeys” and Christians as “pigs”.

When the issue first came to light a year ago, the principal denied the offensive chapters were being used, but also insisted they had been “taken out of context.”

Why not teach kids peace instead?
